I usually use both colours for about 3 stitches to anchor the new yarn and then drop the old one. My sister does a lot of fair isle and wants me to try it. I politely declined and advised her to jog on!
The garage just rang and my car is ready. Unfortunately, DS has just walked through the door and DD isn't back yet. Don't think I can feasibly collect it today
.
i twist mine over round the back so similar to what you do i think (it jsut sort of carries behind the stitches youre knitting so you cant see it from the front. it hard to descirde knitting without showing someone on the needles what you mean isnt it.SPC~12 ot 124

Thank you WendyWitch, Lamewolf and Jazee for kind thoughts for Mrs Dog. I wrapped another Tramadol in a scrap of liver sausage for her and she's now much, much happier. The vet gave me permission to vary the dose as required and I think I try so hard not to give too high a dose that I have been short-changing her. If she were freaking out even more then I'd know it was the Tramadol, but as she's lying in a much better position it would seem to indicate that the pressure on her abdomen isn't as painful now.
Poor Jazee's SickDog. *healing vibes*
I've vacuummed the whole house and run myself a bath. I'm very hot, very sticky and in need of a serious swill as we're going out this evening for a couple of hours - right now, no-one would want to be downwind of me.
Sadly my mother's dy$son has gasped its last. It now needs two repairs and as Lid1 has a small new bagless nippy whiparound for about the same price as those repairs, it's time to let it go. (OH is more upset than I am and he wasn't that much of a fan of my mother's tbh.)Better is good enough.0 -
aww honeybear, i hope poor sick dog is a happier healthy dog very soon. you sound yourself like you could do with a bit of R&R time sop i hope your night out is enjoyable

So far this week
Monday's bathroom and toilet done at weekend thanks to cistern being replaced last Friday. No running water for 3 days and buckets of water to flush loo.
Tuesday Stairs landing airing cupboard. This made me laugh as cistern that leaked is in airing cupboard. I did main bedroom and bedding as that's where airing cupboard is.
Wednesday kitchen done yesterday as I grouted floor Monday. Don't have a hallway so did some weeding.
Hugs, spoons and chocolate to all who want some

Quiet day here, I was supposed to have gone to an outlet village with my best friend but had to postpone. Yesterday I went to visit my sister and her carer was off sick so I took her for lunch. Unfortunately I had a diet pump drink forgetting previous experience. There must be something in them that doesn't agree with my IBD as I had to make 2 emergency toilet stops on the way home. I was a little scared to go out in my friend's car.
Dailies done
Appointments frogs eaten
Various phone calls taken0
