Hey i'm liking this thread. Please can I tag along?
I think i usually spend about £300/£350 or so but really want to cut things down this year. Money reasons as well as putting more thought and less commercialism into it.
One pressie already got for a friend (thanks to Mse) a calender from truprint for just £2.85.
Will need to asses the budget and report back!

Edit - lets aim for £250 - comfortable amount. So spent £2.85 so far.

  • Hi ShineyShoes; I think your amounts are plentiful. I always feel that kids get too much 'stuff' anyhow.

In regards to making things look more. Sometimes its what you buy. so if you get a money off deal its something you could have spent more on. Other than that have you any vouchers you can use towards things. Not sure how to deal with this on budget though!
Other than that I think some things just look better value for money. For example some things in the pound shops can look cheap but other items eg; those that are just old stock from other shops end of line can look good.
Also a friend of mine who does not have a lot of cash always seems to find and put together a good selection of items.
