Were the family calenders home made or bought through a photo company?
Home made ones could be a good idea I could get my daughter to paint some pictures and add one of those small calenders to stick on the bottom. Oooh great pressie for the grand-parents!!:rotfl:
No, they weren't home made, we picked loads of family photos, on the computer or scanned them into the computer and then went on Vista print, fairly cheap price for about 5, I did some for my side of the family and my fella did some for his side.
I think you could make some lovely ones if you have little ones do pictures and scan them into the computer.
if you think you might want to do them you need to allow plenty of time for the cheapest delivery option, BUT watch out the website will send you loads of offers some you might like, I have to be strict with myself!new challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £00 -

Same me and my partner are doing it that way,
I buy for my family he buys for his unless say I see something I know his mum or cousin will like I will buy it.
This christmas , all the presents i get for my family are going to be from me and him... Saves hassle lol.
Most of the stuff came from Primark yesterday because
1) I work there so I knew what they had
2) I knew what my mum wanted and I did look in M&S but they were expensive
I have
My uncle
My 20 year old cousin's partner
My dad
My nan & Grandad 1
My nan & Grandad 2

I think that in the last week or so I have really begun to get myself organised. I have set my budget, written a list of presents and budgeted for each person.
I went in to town this weekend and have bought 9 of 37 presents, got some bargains to Milk Tray double layer for £3.99 instead of £11.00 and Thorntons double layer for £5.99 instead of £11.99.What I am most chuffed about is that I have already wrapped them (hopefully the chocolates will be safe)!
Tasks for next week is to go to Tesco and get their gift guide, start planning food for christmas day and add things to buy in my ebay and amazon accounts ready to order when I get paid next!
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you guys!:jProud to have dealt with my debt, DFD 6th May 2015 :j
Part of the SPC challenge - #168 joee - My lovely gold stars from Sue-UU :staradmin x6 - BANKED £9.07
2015: Sell £1000 #65 - target £500 - Sold £108.690 -
Please can i join?
I've already bought a few things - i have an online savings account which i round down the balances of my other accounts to (im a bit OCD and like round figures!). I also put in £co and e3ay earnings in there. I'm hoping for a cost neutral christmas through this - ambitious i know! Current balance is £5.07.
So here's my list: (i too buy for my side and DH buys for his but we keep an eye out for each others)
DH: £26/£40 - cycling outfit, hat and shaving set thingy from boots
Mum: £30/£30 - Leather purse & flipflops both bought on holiday, S&G set - DONE
Dad: 0/£30
Best Friend 1: £3.75/£5 - E3ay bargains! Funky necklance & vintage earrings - DONE
Best Friend 2: 0/£5
Total budget: £120 Spent so far: £59.75 Remaining: £60.25
I may have to get a works secret santa gift but this is undecided. Usually i have an auntie and cousin to buy for but they are feeling the pinch so we've agreed cards only. Finally last year i bought some kids toys for charity for those who would otherwise have nothing to unwrap on Christmas Day - funds allowing i'd like to do this again.
Ps: i cant resist christmas chocolate either so have to buy it as late as possible!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

My colleague likes Primark she has just bought a load of Christmas onsies apparently they are really good quality, don't know how much they cost though. I had a running comentary with pictures last week!Competition wins £14,136.30[\COLOR]0 -
Luckypenny - primani are good for onesies but i really like their pj bottoms - all fleecy and lovely and make great gifts with some slipper socks etc.:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:

My only problem is, every time that i create a budgeted list or a plan, I just can't hit it.0
