Just thought i'd share a tip a friend gave to me if you have any teenage girls/young women to buy for:
If you go on ebay and search for vintage necklace or retro necklaces, sort by time ending soonest (optional) and refine to less than £0.90 then quite a few long necklaces come up. Most have free delivery from China, again you could refine your search to elimate those with paid delivery.
I've bought half a dozen of these necklaces for between £0.30-£0.70 (then i stop bidding and go for the next one) and have seen the exact sames ones in vintage fairs for £6-£8! Wrap in some pretty tissue paper and bingo! Trendy necklace gift! My particular favourites are the red heart and watch heart ones

My colleague likes Primark she has just bought a load of Christmas onsies apparently they are really good quality, don't know how much they cost though. I had a running comentary with pictures last week!
I made it up the other day as Charlybear had posted about some items that would make a great cosy hamper - snuggly socks, hot chocolate, hand cream etc, which could be put into a basket or gift bag.
I realised yesterday that I have already made a start on buying gifts, so I have 1 sis and bil done and I've got a couple of other bits :T
Today I bought a bit of make up for my eldest niece, I went to SuperD and bought a mascara, an eyeliner and a lip gloss from their MUA range, these items were £1 each with their 3 for 2 offer
Also while I was there I got a 75 ml tube of Vaseline for 83p I was chuffed with that as I'd bought one a couple of weeks ago from £land for £1, after I popped into £land to get some other bits and saw a small 50 ml Vaseline for £1!
By the way, £land have got Revlon and Mabelline nail vanish, I was tempted for me, but I'm doing the 'no buying unnecessary toiletries' challenge!new challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £00 -

I'm going to join in as I have a very minimal budget this year (in reality I have no cash to buy presents).
Friends and not so close family have a budget of £5 each, and close family £10 each, and hubby, baby and step-kids have £20.
This would mean a total spend of £160. I feel like such a scrooge but really haven't got anything to give.
Any ideas on how to spend less but it look more?DFW Nerd 1447 - Proud to be dealing with my debt!
