It's not one of the surgeries I work from but have been there once myself on New Year's Day and they were good then, really glad they were helpful. Blimey you did a fair bit of walking, especially in this weather. My parents were in the city yesterday and said it was really busy in general.

We don't have a car, but taking the two taxi's meant doing way less walking than usual. DH walks to work and back daily during the week, so 3 miles per day minimum. I try to walk up to the shops on Plumstead road every day for exercise and fresh air, so about a 1.1 mile round trip. If I go to town for anything, I can walk up to 7-8 miles in a day, but then for a day or two I will need to take it easy. Granted, this was before the bfp, so I'll be taking the bus way more often now!

  • Hello! I've been lurking for a while but after getting married 2 weeks ago we are now officially TTC. I was diagnosed with PCOS last year after coming off the pill (not to TTC) and my periods being all over the place. I saw a gynae consultant in July who put me back on the pill for 3 months, as sometimes it can kick start things to work again, has anyone had any experiance of this? I've now finished the pill and have another appt in 3 months where if nothing has changed they will give me clomid.

So can I please be added to the front page please?

I've got some ovulation sticks, heres hoping I actually do!! My longest cycle is 122 days! Currently on CD11 so will start to test from tomorrow, is there a best time of day to test with an ovulation test?

    Thanks everyone in advance!
  • Welcome Princess kate.

Sorry I can't answer your question, I'm not using OPKs myself, but I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable will be along shortly.

Am thanks, bleedings still crazy as it was yesterday :(

Welcome pk, I don't tent to use opk but from what know its best to test later in the day usually evening time as the body makes the right hormoan later in the day.

    Hello all, I'm now CD3... :(

AF finally caught me over the weekend, a week late. Had a few drinks and tried to talk to other half about how I felt and got told "Oh, do we have to talk about THIS again.."

I think I'm gonna take a break for a while, try and put all this out of my head, I'm done being twisted up and spat out each month with no one (but you lovely ladies :)) to talk to about things.

Take care of yourselves, I'm sure I'll be back from time to time. x
  • Hugs picklekin, I understand what you mean, DH "listens" to my moans about TTC but I don't think he really understands, sometimes I think he's just humouring me.

sweaty betty sorry for CD1 :(

PK I POAS when I get home from work at about 6pm and try not to pee from about lunch time ( though sometimes thats not always possible :rotfl: ) I don't know when to suggest starting to use OPK with your cycles being so long. Now when I start getting fertile CM I start testing, my cycles have varied in length from 28 to over 40 days so it means I'm not wasting loads of OPK.

Mrs_T_M thats wonderful news :j so pleased for you

Sorry if I've missed anyone out so hugs to anyone that needs them!

Not alot to report here, 5 DPO now so just plodding along waiting for the 2WW to be over, I now don't even entertain the thought I could actually be pregnant :( Got an appointment tonight to get the results of my CD3 bloods so will see if anything crops up on there.

  • Thanks chick, my cycles aren't always that long, seem to go from a 38ish days to a long one of 70ish, the 122 was my longest ever & I'm holding out hope that the pill will have had some magical effect, seeing as it made me feel so rubbish when I was on it! Think I'll start testing from today & just keep going until I hopefully get a good line/smiley face!
  • Morning all. Big hugs picklekin so sorry you're struggling.

More hugs for Part Mouse you're really going through it at the moment aren't you? I hope things improve for you soon.

Hugs to those the witch got Disney Pluto and sweaty Betty and any others.

Fingers crossed for those in the TWW.

Really good news there Mrs_T_M :)

Welcome princess Kate hope you're not here long for all the nicest reasons. Sorry I'm no help with opk as I've never used one. Maybe I should try...

AFM FF has me as 3 DPO today. I hope I can manage a relatively normal luteal phase this month. I never even have time to get hopeful before AF shows up. I've been so stressed trying to find somewhere to live that I've hardly thought about TTC. Well I have, but less than I would otherwise! Think we've found somewhere now just praying it all works out before I have a nervous breakdown!!
