tia - I know what you mean. Endless pregnancy announcements and so on are hard. At least it's not as bad as last year when I had about 7 people having babies over the Christmas period, including my ex who had an unwanted baby with his new girlfriend (she tricked him by telling him she was still on the pill, then didn't tell him she was pregnant until 20 weeks). Hopefully, it'll be you next year.

Hugs BigMomma, hope the SA goes well, I think like Code says at least he is going to get it done and hopefully will then have some answers. I am going to have to drag my OH kicking and screaming just to go to an appointment to initiate there might be something wrong I think. Hopefully 2014 will be your year

Cookiee- I would push for a blood test- when I had my 100 day cycle my Dr sent me for a blood test and also requested a pregnancy test- Im sure he said a blood test was the 100% of finding out whether you are or not (and I also thought that the tests you do at the Drs are the same pretty much as a hpt).

Well..... happy new year ladies... Hope you've all had lovely nights. Ive had a fab night.... We've done a murder mystery game at home... dressed up etc... it was fun!

Im now sat... wide awake.. not drunk in the slightest. ..wondering/hoping this is going to be our year. I have everything crossed... I really hope this time next year. . Ill be sat holding a baby in my arms....

Happy new year kellykins, and everyone else. When hubby and I were sipping our champagne at midnight and discussing our hopes/plans/goals for the next year the word 'baby' kept coming up a LOT. No pressure then!

Hello all - Can I join in?

My midnight wishes also included thinking about baby! We only started trying last month. Took a test on NYE at what I think was 12 DPO but BFN and then AF arrived two hours later! I was suprised as that makes this cycle 26 days which is pretty short for me. I had a lovely 28 days cycle before that so thought I'd guessed ovulation right at 19th Dec. Had a 31 day cycle before that so thought AF would be late if anything - not early!

I knew that chances of me getting pregnant on first cycle were slim but was surpised at how disappointed I felt at BFN - felt a bit sad and empty inside. Also doesn't help that its the most painful AF I've had in as long as I can remember! (only came off the pill in October and they are heavier and more painful now)!

Oh well, onwards and upwards.....looking forward to trying again although not sure what to do about predicting ovulation now as my cycle lengths keep changing, was hoping to stay off the OPKs as I know I will get obsessive - will just have to DTD every couple of days I guess!

Looking forward to getting to know you all, been lurking for the last month or so and seen a lot of BFPs!!

So I'm CD2 now and have been TTC #1 for 1 month.
