Congratulations ejecoms so happy for you and that's a fab Christmas present!

Was feeling pretty fed up this morning about AF coming. The last couple of years have revolved around getting ready to TTC and then I just assumed that once we started trying that it would happen quickly, I certainly didn't expect to still be trying now.

Anyway hubby and I had a long chat and I do feel a lot better now. For a start as hubby pointed out it's 6 cycles not 6 calendar months so it is still early days for us. I need to stop living my life just in case I get preggers. For instance I haven't had a drink in months and we haven't planned a lot of things just incase, I haven't changed jobs my job which I HATE just incase, the list goes on and we need to carry on without TTC being our only focus.

Anyway I've decided that I am not going to do OPKs or even look what day of my cycle is on. We BD on a regular basis just for fun anyway so we shouldn't have a problem there. I am just going to set a reminder for when AF is due and try and forget about it all in the meantime. 1 year is not until August so we will just keep going until then and if I am not preggers then we are going to go on an awesome holiday in Vegas then go to the doctors when we get back. So either way there is something to look forward to.

I am going to take a step back from this thread. This isn't meant to be all dramatic, I just wanted to post and say thank you for all the support whilst I've been on here and baby dust to you all, really hope you all get your BFPs soon. xxx

    Congratulations ejecoms.

Know what you mean tinks. Feel like I'm waiting for the cheesy family Christmas adverts to be over . This has been a terrible year. I just want to move on to next year when we'll find out if DH has any sperm cells.

CD2 here which is confusing as the coolest woman in the hospital (the ultrasound woman) pointed out that I have a large dominant follicle on my right ovary. Not that it matters either way.

I really really want to do a first response test tomorrow. Will only be 8DPO so I know it is ridiculous. Why am I going crazy?
  • Well 14dpo today and 2-4 days late depending on what ap I look at and bfn this morning :(

Being late when you are ttc is just cruel harrumph!!

Hope you all have a lovely day xxx

I know exactly what you mean Lollypopswater!

FF friend predicts my AF for either today or tomorrow and as yet no sign. I've given in to testing early, so already got enough BFNs this month without adding anymore to my list. So, if I get past Xmas Eve without AF I will test then.

Yesterday I was suffering with the usual AF symptoms but less so today!

Gave in and tested on a first response this morning, of course BFN :(:( it was what I expected but still had a little cry!

I am now not going to test until af is actually due and just going to try and enjoy this week.

8DPO is still pretty early though? I could still get lucky this month? Don't feel very hopeful though particularly as my skin has broken out which it does before af :( booooooo!

Hope you all have a good day xx
  • Congratulations ejecoms what a great Christmas present, I wish you a healthy and boring 9 months.

Hugs for cd1 laila and anyone else that needs them.

AFM I'm now 2 days late and not too sure what to make of it but as I was 2 days late last month I've decided to test on Christmas day and DH agrees although he did get a bit antsy when I told him the plan :rotfl:

Why can't things be so much easier, you spend most of your life preventing pregnancy that you think it'll happen straight away when you start trying *grumble grumble* :o

Hugs Daisy. 8dpo is very early though so you never know. Keep busy and try not to think too much about it until AF is actually due. Easier said than done obviously but at least christmas is upon us!

Daisieegg - 8dpo is very early, so you may still have a chance

    Hugs lollypop

Hugs code - no idea what that really means, but sounds confusing

Laila - sounds like a good plan, from what you have said you have not been trying that long, so sounds good to be focusing on living life rather than worrying about ttc. Maybe you will be back in a few months with some good news
