  • Its so quiet on here at the moment isn't it..... everyone is getting ready for the festivities etc!!!!!

I am currently 6dpo... nothing special going on... still taking my amoxicillin for UTI  UTI itself has cleared up pretty much though which is good!

Feeling pretty grotty today - woken up feeling full of cold and also sick. Great - ill in time for Xmas - Woohoooo!!!!

Still have LOADS to do - couple of presents still to buy  and despite having a £150 Tesco order delivered yesterday, seem to have no actual food to eat in the house LOL. Its all Christmas goodies ;)

Gotta pick up the turkey from butchers on christmas eve, gotta get all the veg from greengrocers same day... havent actually wrapped any presents yet

How is everyone else doing with crimbo?? I am usually SO organised - people at work were all joking the other day "oh, Bigmomma will have wrapped all her stuff up back in october" and I was smiling thinking eeeeeeeek!!!!!!! Usually I would have done! Think I have been SO pre-occupied with the TTC this year it has just gone out of my mind!
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?
  • Hugs for all the CD1's.

Not a lot happening here, the 2ww is at the back of mind due to work. I can honestly say I HATE XMAS :-(

Good luck in Brum Kellykins and thanks for the lists.

Notanothersock - I use conceive plus after the recommendations on here, not sure about your one.

    :j:j:j:j:j:j Huge congratulations.

Thanks for doing the lists Kelly.

Nothing really going on here- had my work Christmas do last night, did get a bit tipsy- lets hope next year I can't!! :D I am better now after having a horrid head cold so the bd'ing can hopefully be continued again!!

Notanothersock- I agree with Bigmomma, as you are new to ttc you should carry on as you are- if in say 6 months down the line you aren't pregnant then you should maybe reconsider but for now I would stay as you are.

Hugs Bigmomma- hope your feeling better soon and aren't ill over Christmas.

Hugs for those on CD1 and good luck with those planning to test soon.

I feel very negative. Any imaginary 'symptoms' I thought I had have disappeared and just been replaced with usual pre menstrual symptoms including a skin breakout just in time for Christmas :( pretty sure this month is not going to be our month but can't really complain as it is only the first month.

Had a moment this morning where I had just opened a package containing some first response pregnancy tests I had ordered online. I was standing in the bedroom reading the box when my husband came in. He said for a moment his heart went into his mouth and he thought for some reason I had done a test and had good news for him :( it made me realise how he wants this just as much as I do and that when af comes it will be a big disappointment for him as well as just me :(

In other news, we are having 'fake' Christmas Day today as husband's daughter is with us. I have cooked a yummy Christmas dinner which all turned out very well. About to have pudding and do presents. I am one of those sickeningly organised people who had everything bought by November and wrapped by December...I LOVE Christmas.

Tomorrow we are driving the 300 miles or whatever it is to take hubby's daughter home, and to see his mum and siblings (they live in the same town as his daughter, which is where he was from originally). Not looking forward to the drive with the severe weather that is meant to be coming!

Hope everyone else is doing ok and has a lovely Christmas.

Welcome not another sock - I would check the label on the lube, we were using a durex one and realised it said do not use if ttc, so that was a wasted few months

You sound pretty organised to me Bigmomma - in my house it is just another day...now if we had a baby if would be different, but at the moment Christmas is another reminder of what we are missing out on

Congrats ejecoms! Wonderful news, hope its a sticky bean

Hugs for all those at CD1

Good luck with testing tomorrow lollypop

Daisieegg did you actually do the test?!

Kelly - hope you had a good day shopping
