Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 10

Hi all,

I have been lurking for around a month or so now so I finally bit the bullet and decided it was time to join! It's very nice to finally meet you lovely bunch

I am 26, my partner is 30 and we have been TTC for a while now. (Unofficially 8 years and officially 3 months)

I have PCOS and in the whole of my life only had one AF (and it was the most painful thing ever, OH nearly rang an ambulance! Just awful!)

We've been together for 8 years and have never used contraception as a doctor told me I'd never get Pregnant (sucks that she was right!)

We decided to bite the bullet as we both would love a baby and have an appointment to pick up clomid on the 23rd October.

I'm really worried as this whole thing is new to me, AF, CD, etc does anyone have a really simple website for me to understand?

From what I've read I will take a tablet to have AF then the clomid straight after? So how do I know how to measure things?

I'm sorry for all the questions!

Nothing to report from me- cd41 and no sign of af!! WHy is it even though I was preparing myself for a long wait for af after coming off the pill Im so fed up and bored of waiting!! (I guess this is just part of the ttc journey!!)

Thanks to Mrs_T_M for doing such a great job updating the lists and hugs to all that need them.

I'm CD8 so the BD starts today. I text OH at 4pm from work to announce I'd be home at 6pm and expected him to have either persuaded DS1 to have a nap or have found him something to keep him distracted and to meet me upstairs at about 6.05pm.
I must be forgiven now for screaming at him and accusing his little swimmers of being useless when AF arrived as sure enough he was upstairs to join me at 6.05pm:j

In reality I know the reason we didn't get pregnant last month is more to do with my BMI, age and damage to my body from 1st pregnancy, and I think he does too. I was a bit worried that his work schedule would interfere with my fertile days this month so was feeling a bit down, but have worked out we will also be able to BD Friday night and on Sunday, not sure about after that but it should be often enough. So fingers crossed, and fingers crossed for everybody else in the If In Doubt BD Zone.

I keep seeing the pregnancy threads pop to the top of the forum, and feel a surge of fury as I want to be posting on those threads, as I'm sure all the other ladies on here do! I hope I'm not bringing the mood down, I don't want to sound like I'm moaning, it's only early days but I'm so impatient I just want to be pregnant NOW. My mum went through the menopause in her late 30's so I might not have much time left.

I should say I'm absolutely delighted for everybody that does get to post on the pregnancy threads, I just wish I could be on there too. I can't imagine how all you ladies who have been trying for months and months are feeling. Looking at the front page alot of us do seem to be in our mid thirties so we probably are going through much the same emotions amd worrying about time running out.

still no AF so poas.. BFN!!! which i expected think it would be a miracle if it was positive this month! just as i thought af was gettin regular!! ARGHHH

I find and subscribe to the threads I want to read, then I just click on "User CP" to view them. No more having to see the pregnancy threads! I know what you mean about seeing them at the top of the page. I'm a bit jealous, even though I now know some of the ladies on them!

Thanks all. Had a nap earlier as feeling very hormonal, 6.5 weeks of injecting play havoc with your body.as long as my one follie has got to a great size I should trigger than enter my second ever 2ww. Exciting times.feeling very nervouse though.

I have reached 13DPO! Still not letting myself even hope. Probably just my body being really mean.

Anyway, I have 16 1/2 pounds of tomatoes to process today. I think I'm going to use the slow cooker and blender to make my pasta sauce so that I don't need to peel them before I cook them. How lazy is that? The sauce will take 13 pounds, so the remainder I'll be trying to make salsa out of with jarred jalapeños. We still have probably 10 more pounds that aren't quite ripe yet! I hope that I can get through preparing them before I get too exhausted.
