Congrats mcrach so happy for you x

Big hugs tinks I'm sorry you're feeling low but glad that your doctor is being so helpful x

Yay part mouse for your follie fingers crossed for Friday x

I'm just waiting for af now so we can actually try this cycle although it's almost been nice to have a little break from ttc. I'm so pleased that my cycle seems to be getting regular and my cbfm is giving me 2-3 days of high so we have some warning of ov.

    Hugs to all x

    Positive vibes part mouse :)

I have yet another question I'm wondering if someone could answer. I'm doing opks this month and noticed that I have a faint line on the test window. The instructions say that unless its the same colour or darker than the control line, it's negative. But surely a faint line must mean something? Near to ovulation or something? Or maybe I'm just grasping at straws? :o

Sweaty, it could be that you're detecting the beginning of the surge - it's the surge itself you're watching out for - but that hormone is always present to some degree (although not always detectable on those sticks) which is why you're told to ignore anything fainter than matching strength. For reference you can also surge part way through the 2ww, just to confuse matters ;)

Wang, yes conceive plus/pre seed is pretty handy to have/use. Personally I've tried both and would get conceive plus again over pre seed, if only for the fact it has a flip cap rather than one like a tube of toothpaste! ...hey, these things matter in the heat of the moment! :p

Thanks for the advice re the conceive plus bigzippy It's always nice to get a personal recommendation and useful to know about the cap, don't want to be fumbling around with screw caps in the heat of the moment ;)

CD1 here, as expected. Sorry to be a PITA Mrs_T_M but I can't do magenta on my phone :o

Know what you mean ttc39 it feels a bit like the end of the year has crept up on us!

Tinks - sorry to hear you are feeling down :( Glad the ball is rolling with the docs tho - will keep my fingers crossed for you xx

SB and anyone else it might help - OPKs are best done in the afternoon/evening after 'limiting' drinking before hand. Not an issue for me as I don't drink loads anyway - but if your wee is really dilute then its hard to pick up on a surge. I did a IC test every day and labelled them to see the surge. My bathroom often had to be reorganised before visitors came as I kept them on the windowsill

This is a classic kind of pattern that you will see, and obviously the bottom one is positive:

In the pic below, I thought I had ov'd as there were a few I thought 'could' be positive - but I hadn't ov'd at this point. I stopped testing here and thought I was in the 2ww and didn't BD, and in actual fact I ov'd the week after or something as my LP didn't work out right (also wasted a LOT of HPTs thinking I must defo be pregnant as I thought AF was late...)

And on this photo below I went straight from faint line to +ve really quickly:

So as you can see - theres no definite thing that will happen with your OPKs. Just keep testing daily at around the same time, and have faith that it will happen. You will see a +ve test when you get one. It just sucks to wait for one sometimes :o As always, it doesn't hurt to BD so if you are both willing just go for it anyways ;)
