I'm with Daisie I'm still eating and drinking what I like! I'm happy with that, figure you still need to have a life whilst ttc otherwise I for one would lose my mind!Baby on board - EDD 29th Sept0

Oh thats good to hear then- glad I wont be the only eating prawns etc- I guess for me it all falls at a good time within my cycle anyway- and I rarely eat things like prawns, pate etc at any other time of the year.0

So, my good friend who has been married 7 months, I was her bridesmaid, has announced she's 8 weeks pregnant. Happened pretty much straight away. I'm happy for her, but cant help but be slightly grrrr as we've been trying roughly 3 months - god knows how those who have been trying years deal with this sort of thing!! x0

It takes 10 weeks after conception before the foetus takes anything from your body, so don't worry about prawns and so on. I refuse to give up cheese for example and, gasp, might still eat some if I do get pregnant as I'm pretty sure French women still eat soft cheese and the French haven't all died out.
There's conflicting evidence about alcohol during the 2ww but I've read a couple of studies that suggest a couple of glasses of wine aids implantation.
You could get pregnant immediately, or you could be here over 3 years on, like me. If you're not one of the lucky ones who gets pregnant quickly then it's a miserable journey without giving up everything enjoyable in life too.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

We have fantasies about pushing said pregnant person into traffic, smile nicely then go home and cry. And smile at people complaining about trying for 3 months, knowing that they're definitely, still going to get pregnant before you do :rotfl:Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

lol, Codemonkey - that has made me giggle!
Me and OH are just meant to be attempting to get pregnant but the more it goes on unsuccessfully the more I want to be pregnant NOW! Can't really grumble as it's not been that long. x0 -

Sometimes, I stand at the train station thinking horrible thoughts about the pregnant women, then I feel bad and give them my seat. Then I get annoyed that they get to have a baby and a seat :rotfl::rotfl:
I know how it feels, you start off all excited and think that more sex must be a good thing, then the gloss wears off very quickly. Don't worry. The majority of women in this thread move on sooner or later.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Oh thats good to know- its difficult to get a balance of not wanting to do anything that could put anything at risk but still having a normal life.0 -
Crummy crummy day, cried whilst making supper that I'm not pregnant and everyone around me seems to be pregnant or popping out babies!!!
I'm another naughty one that still drinks alcohol etc and one of my favourite things is eggs benedict, heaven forbid!! For the first couple of months I cut it out, then realised how blooming long this TTC lark can take and thought I can't cut these things out for months/years/forever!! I'm liking the bit in bold above- I've heard it said that women can "drink until it's pink" (i.e. until they get a positive pregnancy test). I have a work do this week, so it'll be nice to have a glass of wine and not have to deal with any "why are you not drinking?" type questions.
