AFM I'm probably being waaaaay to eager but just had a trip out to pick up a 2 pack of Superdrug HPT as I'm due on on the 22/23 December and do not want to be going out in town then. Trying to think positive that as I've put it out there that it'll happen this month .

Just wondering if I should start temping but DH thinks I'm a weirdo for staying laid down for half an hour after DTD so not sure what he'd make of me taking my temperature each day :rotfl:. Might wait and see and if we get to the 6 month point and see what the doctors say.

ThinkPink, I am so pleased for you - I know how long you have waited!

My Clearblue fertility monitor plus a pack of test sticks just arrived in the post today. Exciting, although it is annoying that I can't start using it until CD1 - I am so impatient! Wasn't able to do my OPK today as I got home from work too late. No ewcm though anyway

I am trying to be a) positive and b) not stressed! Trying to be positive thinking that taking a while to get pregnant means I can enjoy the holidays we have booked and cram in more fun couple things. And drink lots of champagne over Christmas!

Thank you- I am so glad af is finally here!! Hopefully now Ive had one proper af since coming off the pill the next cycle wont reach 100 days!!

Im still undecided as to whether use opks this cycle or not. Really hope that ov will time in well with Christmas when we have quite a bit of time off so we can have lots of lovely lie ins!!;)

Can I ask a question- do people still drink and eat things like prawns/ pate etc when ttc?

I am!! In fact, funny you should ask using those specific examples, as yesterday I had pât! for lunch and prawn pasta for dinner :rotfl: and today I am just about to have a glass of something alcoholic after the terrible day I have had! I am taking a pre-conception vitamin containing folic acid though.

I know lots of people don't drink alcohol during the two week wait but tbh, I probably will. Obviously I won't binge drink but sooooo many women must drink during the first few weeks of pregnancy before realising they are pregnant. Also if it is going to take me ages to get pregnant I am not going to act like I am pregnant for two weeks out of every month and then get disappointed! That is just me though.
