So in January this year I ordered a leather sofa from ScS it took almost 6 months to be delivered, and now after just around 4months of having it the stitching is coming away and on 1 side of the sofa it is making a terrible creaking / banging noise when we sit down or get up as though the frame is about to give way - this I could understand if we had large people coming to visit but we don't. I am unhappy to keep this sofa as I know it will not last, I have a HP Payment plan set up for it - what are my rights? As I know I will be fobbed of when I call then ...as they did 3 times with my delivery I had excuse after excuse. I will never buy from this company again!

  • First of all you need to contact them not us. Most likely they will want to send someone to look at it and possibly repair it from what other people have experienced.

If its inherently faulty they have to repair, replace or refund. They get to pick the cheapest option though so you can't demand a refund.

But do as Chickabiddybex says. They won't do any of those things if you don't tell them its broken.

My experience of SCS is that once they have sold the item they have no wish to help sort out problems. Its like your warranty is with another firm. You may as well try to get Currys to sort out the problem as visit the SCS branch you bought it from.
