Firemanbill's Advice - A Possible troll, please treat his advice with extreme caution

It doesn't. There is no statutory basis for POPLA & if POPLA were to be wound up or implode then POFA would carry on regardless.nobbysn*ts wrote: »Hope you don't mind me asking, where does the POFA actually say that as a requirement, as I've looked for it a couple of times before?
When clamping in England & Wales was outlawed as a sop to the parking lobby POFA introduced keeper liability. As this overturned hundreds of years of contract law it was thought that there should be a necessary counterbalance so the government required the BPA Ltd to set up an 'independent' appeals body.0 -

For the avoidance of doubt, it is, was, and will be, for the foreseeable future, my position that notwithstanding the fact that POPLA is in the back pocket of the BPA, for so long as forum advisers continue to beat POPLA/BPA at their own game, and for so long as forum assisted motorists continue the 100% winning streak at POPLA, then we should continue to advise and assist them to appeal to POPLA at no cost and little stress to them and at a not insignificant cost to both PPC and BPA. Win-Win in my book.
Hope that clarifies your little misunderstanding of the situation.

PS KIF - I too thought your original title was more accurate and also more helpful for forum newbies.
Mate, there's no misunderstanding at all. The published statistics say that POPLA is winning the case for their funders more than half the time. Stop making personal statements questioning my mental capacity - you can't support them. It's offensive and not worthy of you.0 -
Appealing to POPLA is only possible if the PPC is a member of the BPA Ltd AOS. The DVLA is so slapdash about selling keeper details it is possible that a vehicle keeper could be pursued under POFA without ever having recourse to POPLA.0

The title of this thread has changed. (I remember seeing it earlier today). Having read the thread I am minded that the original title was apt.
Personally I have no issue at all with the restoration of the pejorative title originally assigned to this thread. The more aggressively you attack my integrity, the more I'll post. Thank you again for changing the thread title back to something interesting because this will hopefully maintain the interest. Some of you, and I don't know which ones yet, are the agents of the scammers. We shall see.0 -

A sweeping statement to make with little or no obvious evidence.
There are people on here who have provided sound reliable evidence as to what to do when dealing with the scum of the earth that are PPC.
Having read your posts you are not one of those whose "assistance" I would welcome or recommend to anyone.0 -

I have just written the quote below on another thread and intend to post it to any new thread that Firedupmanbill (sic) chooses to offer the benefit of his advice. Before you follow Fireman Bill's advice or his alter ego, Scouse Magic, please read some of his/their earlier posts and ask yourself the questions
"Should I follow the advice of this person?"

I do think any statement questioning your mental capacity would be justified and fully supported because it has been pointed out to you many times that the published statistics overall are quite different to the published statistics for this forum...but that point does not seem to sink in.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -

That's untrue. Less than 50% of POOPLA appeals are successful and the number is decreasing. That's just quoting POOPLA's own statistics.
You have close to a 1 in 380,000 chance of receiving a summons if you ignore.
My patience is infinite. My arguments are immutable. Let's go a few more rounds to keep this thread at the top of the pile. BUt, guys, please - please stop the abusive comments. I am an old person who fought wars so you could exercise your voice. Try to up your game.0 -
