Never buy HTC!!!More mobile phone problems!

I think the OP had trouble because maybe they held down the button too long on any of the instructions. I had HTC Wildfire S and if you held your finger down too long it didn't press the button, it had a similar effect to right clicking. You just need to press it briefly.0

Sorry but you all told me to tap the app which opens it!!!! BUT with this one it only opens the password page and the = button does not open the window with uninstall on it until the app is open!
I did ring TT many months ago but didn't get anywhere.
From my manual page 100:
Uninstalling an app.
You can uninstall any app that you have downloaded and installed from Android Market.
1. From the Home screen, 2. tap > Market > My apps. 3. Tap the app you want to uninstall, and then tap Uninstall. 4. When asked, tap OK. Choose the reason for removing the app, and then tap OK.
This is the method most of you were telling me to do and relied on the app opening when tapped. Nowhere there does it say go to page 172 if you can't open the app. As I said the instructions are carp for another example find where it tells you how to answer a call when the phone is locked!
Anyway the app is now removed!0 -

It looks like you closed the Play Store after step 2 and tapped the app from your home screen or the app menu (or however it is called). Of course you stay in the Play Store after step 2. Otherwise step 3 would have told you to leave the Store.
Now in step 3 it says tap the app. When you do so on the left hand side where all your apps are listed, the right hand side shows more information about the app with an OPEN and UNINSTALL button (and UPDATE if there is one).
There's no way to open an app from within the Play Store other than by clicking the OPEN button. And if you see the OPEN button, then you should see the UNINSTALL button right next to it.
Which one did you think you need to press if you want to uninstall the app, the OPEN button or the UNINSTALL button?0 -

Told you how to uninstall it back in post #3. I never said in the post to open the App.:huh:Dave. :wave:0 -

Yes and we did all that plus the guys in Carphone warehouse shop checked and couldn't get it to work.
Now everyone knows to send pics as an email attachment and they open fine!0 -
Another option is using something like Whatsapp, as sent messages and pictures use wifi or your data allowance.
It's available on all platforms, free for the first year and then 69p/year after that.
Using this will be cheaper than MMS. O2 charge 25p per message and Orange 30p. I'm sure the others will be around the same.
There are a few other Messaging Apps out there too.Dave. :wave:0 -
How many people go and buy a phone because it runs android?
Most people use it because their cheap piece of crap phone came with it. Those that do get it on purpose are generally technical enough to use it well, and spend money on a good bit of hardware.
Isn't it obvious? Just look at this thread as case in point.
I wouldn't call my HTC One phone 'cheap'. Have you read any reviews of any of the Android phones, like the Galaxy S2, S4, Xperia Z, HTC One?
This thread merely proves that one person is having problems with their Android phone.
The iPhone range are also good phones and intuitive to use but to imply that Android is crap or difficult to use is nonsense.0 -
Not only shows they were having probs with their android phone, but slated HTC too. Bought my first HTC years ago, the legend I think it was called. Wouldn't go for anything else now
