Never buy HTC!!!More mobile phone problems!

So we have had a wildfireS for some time now but being very busy have never worked out how to use it properly!
Downloaded the manual but it never helps.
At the moment we are trying to remove some apps, tried dragging to bin, no joy. So the manual states
From the Home screen, tap > Market > My apps. Tap the app you want to uninstall, and then tap Uninstall. When asked, tap OK. Choose the reason for removing the app, and then tap OK.
BUT where is "Uninstall"
The other thing we want to do is see pics sent on the phone but we have never managed to do this! Several friends have tried but no joy, it is so frustrating and HTC never reply to our emails!

Is the app you are trying to uninstall one that you put on there, or one that was already on the phone?
I mean, did you download it, or is it part of the operating system/HTC?
If you downloaded it, you should be able to delete it. If it's part of the OS, then you probably won't

Only certain Apps will let you uninstall them.

On the phone, go to Settings>Apps>Downloaded. Press the App you want and press Uninstall from there.

Not sure what you mean about the pics? Is it pics you've taken, or pics you've received.

If you look at 'Gallery' all photos should be in there.

Not understanding a phone's OS isn't really a reason to not buy from that manufacturer! HTC's are generally really decent phones, with a 2 year warranty (longer than some fruity products people fawn over)

Thanks, I didn't mean the phone is rubbish but the instructions are carp! WHERE is the uninstall button???????The app is one my DW downloaded and it needs a password to open it but we have not got a password. So how can we get rid of it without opening it?
The pics are ones sent to us, MMS so we click the download button as instructed and then nothing appears and the pics are not in downloads!
So frustrating, been into a couple of phone shops but they couldn't get the pics either and as I said I have sent several emails to HTC from their website but they never reply!

I occasionally have problems with opening photos received via mms and have put it down to not having a data connection available at the time.

I'm not sure if that is how android works or just an HTC issue but either way, if I don't get the photo at the time of actually receiving the message then that's it - I don't receive it.

With regard to removing apps, as mentioned by the Phantom FF above, just select Settings and then Apps. Select the tab for those downloaded and, select the app in question and it opens up with various options including Move to SD card (if in bold type) and the one you want - Uninstall.

BUT I can't open the app!!!!! It just asks for a password that I don't have and I can't do anything with it!

Look here http://support.htc.com/en-uk/HTC_Wildfire_S/user_guides the page you need is 167-8
i.e. tap =(three bars but = looks close) tap settings
then select applications and then delete(or uninstall) the unknown/un-named app it will not need a password.

Sounds like a problem with android rather than htc.

Try windows or iPhone, both are much easier to use.

P.s i have had the same phone for over 3 years and never had an issue

If you are sent a picture via MMS or the pic is in your text msg you just clck on it and it opens in gallery, then you can save it or whatever

And before you say not it doesnt.......
