Might be worth also asking on oldstyle? someone on there might have other suggestions.
Perhaps you could try contacting fatface themselves and telling them how upset you are and asking if they have any suggestions / recommendations? I did the same thing to a favourite sweater but I found a permanent marker in the similar colour and I just use the pen every time I wash it no one has noticed so far and it looks fine..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
