  • HHI was successful, 2 baskets down - 2 to go (including the one currently in the WM) Lots of those things are DH's for work so that's helping towards getting another thing off my list too.

I had left the undersink cupboard and my box of cleaning products soaking (I know!) so will go and degloopify and repack the cupboard now. Also took the opportunity to check the gas and electric meters and top them up. There was about a billion spiders in the cupboard, but I decided to be brave anyway :rotfl:

ETA: Raph, I will join you for HHC - should hopefully give me enough time to get the undersink cupboard sorted and dust the lounge.

  • Phew, well the undersink cupboard of grossness has been suitably transformed. Am now being hassled by my little sister who is worryingly keen to see me (she must be after something :rotfl:) Anything gone is done - things are already looking better but still lots to do. Will stop for a quick lunch break then crack on with this afternoon's tasks before DH gets home. I need to beautify myself a bit before going out this evening too, all this flying has made me look a bit

Phew, don't feel I've done much, but I'm knackered already.
Vacuumed the whole house (might as well while the vacuum is out), dusted the living room, wiped the table and the tvs and my laptop screen.
Pulled out the sofa and vacuumed underneath and under the cushions.

Monday Musings ~ Kitchen and Dining Room
Extra Mission ~ Choose one or more of:

    • Clear and wipe the tops of the wall units!!
    • Clean oven if you didn't do it last week
    Deep Clean Challenge
Get in that cupboard under the sink and fling everything you don't use.. if it hasn't been used in the last 6 months you don't need it.. fling it!! Give it a GOOD scrub out before replacing the things you do use and need to keep. Feel free to get carried away and do more cupboards!!!

Tuesday Thrills ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    15 minutes...

Do something from your Toots list, or at least start something if you have nothing you can do in 15 minutes
    Vacuum floors and sofas

    30 minutes to spare...
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets

    Got an hour...
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc

Extra Mission ~ Pick one or more of the following tasks –

    • One load of washing
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be, or better still give them to their owners to put away themselves
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down.

    Raph's 'Toots' list
Clean out and rearrange kitchen cupboards.

    Buy Make new dog bed.
    Clean bannisters.
    Wipe grouting off bathroom tiles.
    Sort DVD's/CD's

    Other bits
    Book Boot Camp sessions

I think I'm now going to do the dishes, then tackle something on my toots list, going to clean the bannisters. They haven't been touched since we moved in, over 2 years ago _pale_ luckily they're painted, so hot soapy water should do the job.

Can anyone use a Morribunds Week 2 voucher? I can't, because I missed Week 1.

The shower room is getting a bit of a drubbing, the scullery area is getting a sort out, the cupboard under the front steps has been tidied up.

There are gibble nests everywhere I look.
    Better is good enough.

Lounge and hallway all dusted and tidy (apart from the dogs' toys which are yet again all over the lounge like an explosion in a toyshop):D

So my personal Tuesday list is up to date.:j

I forgot to mention the other day when I said I'd managed a few rows of knitting - making that waistcoat is actually an item on my Toots list, because I've had the wool sitting there since I bought it in 2007, when we visited the Isle of Skye - it's from their local sheep, and is undyed, its natural colour being dark brown.:o I may eventually get my waistcoat!:D

Time for Bailey & Cassie to have their afternoon exercise now.;)
