Use the thread tools to subscribe to a comp that you can't do or want to do later.
Ok I thought I knew what you where talking about but:o what are you talking about please. I posted a comp that has various end dates and wanted to mark it to remind me to bump it for the other dates. Please help this old and ancient comper to understand these complicated new fangled things.

Scroll up in a line with your
face, and you will get to Thread Tools at the top of this page ( hang on while I go back to page, and I'll edit again in a minute,) trying to describe as I do it) Its on the same line as View threads, Click on there and it comes up subscribe to this thread. There is also has a box for email notification, and if you click on that you can get a message email to you daily, or weekly if you want.
The box underneath "notification type" is folders. If you look on the left hand side of page, you have a box Subscribed Threads, and below that Edit Folders. If you click on there, you can make a folder to put your daily comps in, weekly comps, etc. I also have one for comps couldn't do.
You can also have them for anything else interesting that you come across on the different forums.
I hope this helps, as I have tried to do and tell you at the same time.0 -

got the first bit but can't find the "notification type" folders thing. Thanks a lot for helping me. sarer:rolleyes:
Just found it in the user cp which I don't normally have on view. Thanks again. Good luck sarer:D0 -
I agree with the others who said to always thank the poster of the comp, it shows your appreciation, & marks which ones you've entered.
Also, before you actually enter any comps here, read through any replies that have been posted on the thread. Often if the people that have looked at it before you have found any problems they will post about them on the thread (ie, link not working, small print in the T&C, that sort of thing.)Tightwad. And proud of it!

Hi guys!
Im fairly new to the comp side and am wondering where you all go to? Do you just google 'competitions'? I know there are some that are posted on MSE, but just wanting other ways to find and enter (preferably on the internet)!

If you can keep up with the ones posted here then well for you!! There are several other comp sites, but they mostly duplicate the comp posted here.
Have a look through the discussion thread and you'll find ways of locating more comps.
Good luck to you.Jo x2007:£5181.09 2008: £6619.70 2009: £4284.49 2010: £5213.14 2011: £4980.62 2012: £3188.52

I've only recently starting comping and so far this has been the most useful thing for me:
The best way I find to keep on top of the competitions is to subcribe to the competitions time forum
If you go to :
Home » Forums > Bargain Buys, Sassy Shopping and Fantastic Freebies » Competitions Time
Then click on forum tools - subscribe to this thread - select daily updates by email - add subscription
You then get an email just after midnight each day with the previous days competitions, it lists all the new threads at the top and then updated ones at the bottom, I ignore the updated ones and work my way down the list of new threads opening up the ones I want to enter in new tabs
I also click the thanks button and the threads I have visited turn purple in my email so I can easily tell which I have visited and entered
Unfortunately occasionally it doesn't arrive and I don't know whyso you have to look through all the threads yourself
Heres an extract of the one I have received tonight :
Dear littleange_com,
You are subscribed to the forum Competitions Time, there have been 130 new thread(s) and 53 updated thread(s).

Thanks so much to everyone for all their hard work0 -
If the competition involves a sudoku puzzle then after you have solved it you can check your answers at the Sudoku Solver website. (I can't do sudoku puzzles so the site is my first port of call!
)
The solver is here: http://www.sudokusolver.co.uk/
On the right hand side of the page, just under the 'Solve It!' box, click 'Clear the start grid', then you type in the numbers you have been given already into their corresponding boxes on the grid & then click 'Solve it!' box
It then computes & fills in all the boxes for you. Leaving you just to check the relevant boxes to find the numbers you've been asked for.
Hope this helpsSad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0
