Hi Compers!
I'm thinking of starting comping, but am and all or nothing person! So can I b annoying and ask a few q's please?! Had a good look around, but so much to look through!
If you enter all the competitions ending that day, how long do you spend daily/weekly?
Postal comps, how long do you spend on these?
Bit busy for next month, so not sure if time to start!
EDIT: Oooo that was other Q lol...do you use form fillers? If so what is the best?!
TIA!0 -
Hi. I'm new to comping and have a coupla Qs...
I was just wondering if any of the regular compers had a rough idea of how many comps they usually enter per day/week and how many prizes they usually get in return? Like, would you say you won one prize for every 100 competitions you enter? ...Sort of a comp to prize ratio! Obviously I know it's all totally random, but I just thought some of the super-compers on here might have thought about it.
So far I've been mainly entering comps from the ending-tomorrow posts - but someone told me yesterday that sometimes the sites get a massive influx of entries during the last couple of days of a competition and don't like people entering who've come in through a comping site/forum so they discriminate against people entering at the end and pick winners from the early entries. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks loads for the help - and thanks to everyone who posts comps on here for introducing me to this fun new hobby!
Hi, the last comp I won was tickets to the film premiere of Three & Out in Leicester sq. I entered this at 9.30 am of the morning it closed-I received a call 1 hour later saying I'd won!
Have fun.0 -

Copy the url that you want to use
write 'click here' or whatever on the thread and highlight it
click on the insert link icon (the world one)
paste you url into the box and press ok
you should have a workable clicky!!!!!!
probably won't work now :rotfl:
Testing 123, testing
Thanks again littleholly! Not promising that I'll remember how to do a clicky in the heat of the moment of posting an exciting comp tho. *shamelessly promotes the recycled bicycle clip comp*Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. My comping email address is on Outlook Express. I've set up an autosignature with my name, address, daytime telephone number and 'Thank you for running this competition!', so I only need to add the message title and answer (and sometimes age/DOB) before sending the email entry.
I always delete any of this information that is not actually requested by the comp organisers.
Apologies if this has already been suggested; I've not yet read this entire thread.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MoneySavingExpert Forum Team0 -
