Ground temperature at the depth of the storage tank varies very little with the daily air temperature cycle.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
If you drive round with your petrol tank permanently on the "empty side" you will get more condensation forming in the tank. If you have a steel tank this will cause rust ................
..........AND, most fuels are "hygroscopic" - they absorb moisture from inside the tank which emulsifies the fuel to some extent, which will clog your fuel filters eventually.0 -
I hate petrol stations and to make sure I avoid using them loads of times, I fill the tank.0

I put in around £40 with a full tank costing £70ish. I avoid filling up all the way as I don't like the sluggish feel afterwards.
I try and fill up before the light comes on.0 -
I'll normally stick £20 a week in as I don't do many miles for the daily hack but depending on how i'm feeling I'll stick about £40 in. It's pretty rare that I'll fill the tank as I hate spending £80+ on petrol in one go.0

I work in a Sainsbury's petrol station and we have this women that comes in most day's and only puts in about £3 something.
Most people have been going crazy the past few day's with petrol going down by 8p and we actually ran out on Saturday and Sunday while waiting for deliveries.0 -
Usually top up £30-40 as I dont do that many personal miles, but brim it with V power if work is paying.0

I do approx 350-400 miles per week on average. I wait till the warning light comes on before I fill up (usually when I have an indicated 70-ish miles left)
I brim it everytime. I couldn't face having to partially fill the tank every couple of days. Once every 8-10 days is enough for me!0 -
I always fill mine unless it is one of those annoying shops where you have to go into the shop to pre-pay for fuel, in which case filling up means 2 trips into the shop.
I try to avoid these shops though as they annoy me and I will generally only put £10 in if I have to use them.Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -
The only times I don't fill up to the top are when you get those annoying pumps that keep clicking and thinking you're full and you have to keep slowly squirting in a few pence at a time. I normally lose all patience by the time it's got to a tenner...0
