Is this normal, as I was shocked about a hearing date- sounds legal and formal.
Also disgusted have not had any reply from GVA.
Normal procedure. 5 weeks suggests that POPLA are getting to grips with their backlog now. Until recently 8 weeks has been a pretty standard timescale (and in reality it's been taking them a bit longer than that to deliver adjudications). Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

You should get a copy of the bundle they submit to POPLA. It's pretty bulky 40 pages or so but it's the 'norm' - and most of it is template stuff. If there's anything in there that is patently incorrect you can make comment to POPLA - but check it out with us first.

So the obvious template, but the correct details for my case need to be correct? That will be dates, amounts, car model and reg? Bloody heck will not be parking there again, in fact have never been near aldi since this, and am sure I could get PE in other areas including bullying a person when down (legal term?), and they did not seem to have a grip on the Equality Act 2010 for chronic diagnosed illness, as their template went on about blue badges. I do not have a blue badge, but have a chronic diagnosed mental illness, and am receiving help from the govt with my studies, which is not easy to come by. The letter they sent me was very mixed up.0 -
You have nothing to worry about - the lack of Genuine Pre-Estimate of Loss in your appeal will win it for you.0

Well I received a big thick envelope last week from parking eye their side of the appeal they had sent to Popla. It looked like it was to intimidate me, so I just put it away with the other stuff from them.
Today I got an email with thwe Popla descision, bang on the date Popla promised, and the appeal is ALLOWED.
It is exactly as you said Hovite, and down to the pre estimate of loss thing.
I cannot thank you all enough for advice and reassurance, I would have just paid it to make it go away, but especially Hovite, who actually wrote the appeal and who I would not have had this outcome without.
If you need any of the details Hovite to add to your collection of successes to benefit others, please let me know and will send them.
To anyone else just wanting to pay it so it will go away, keep calm and take the amazing advice on here from some very supportive and clever people.:A0 -
post it up with personal details removed so it can be added to the list of successes

well done to all, and to the OP who persisted and won0 -

I'm very pleased it worked out for you :money:
That Hovite is a very good chap ( even if some don't think so )0 -
Sorry to be stupid Redx, but how do you mean? Should I scan it, but how do I post it then, it would take me a while to type it all out :-)
Just been reading it though, and am very impressed by Popla and how they dealt with them,.
These people should be stopped as they are intimidating to say the least, and it makes me wonder how many people have the insight to search and find this forum.
Am I right in thinking that this will cost P Eye?0
