Coupon-mad, have just reread your post and that is my letter sorted.
Am I right in thinking that the owner of the land is the person who owns the rights to what is enforced on that land within the limits of planning permission, hence the city council 3 hour limit still stands?
I could actually park here each time I went to uni then, as it is very close, and the council on road parking is all 2 hours. Lectures are 2 hours and traffic wardens are very fierce and vigilant.

Good for you - go for it, SlimmingSusan.
You and your fellow students are among Aldi's biggest customers.
Any threat to hit their profits from such a large community should make them back down.
But you never know with Aldi - they have some strange ideas and some strange people working for them in their HQ.
Please elaborate Iceweasel
Notably always aldi- lidl don't seem to do this
Had gone off lidl and onto aldi, but am having a massive rethink
Not that much between them to be treated like this!0 -

Elaborate on the strange people at Aldi's HQ?
Just search this forum for Rachel Organ - a lovely warm hearted individual - not!

Sweet Aldi, have to add this, I live between Preston and Blackpool, and regularly shop at stores with no parking limits, Deepdale, Blackburn, Blackpool. I also take my disabled mother, and have been impressed by your wheelchair trollies. Best I've seen. I have a list of basic essentials I have bought from you, but you have ruined all this in one instance in one store. Shame on you.

I like this. Indeed, shame on themPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Am going to have to have help from my support worker. I panicked, am under mental health teams. I can and will fight under the planning consent, but my energy is being taken up by trying to get out of depression. How long do I have to challenge them?0

You must appeal before day 28 after the PCN. Stop being scared please, no need to worry about what you say about this SCAM. This is easy to beat!
Also due to your mental health condition you are protected by the Equality Act 2010 and should include that in your complaint to Aldi. It's similar to this example I wrote (post #13 by me posting on pepipoo as SchoolRunMum) for someone to send to Aldi (and a copy to Parking Eye headed up 'Appeal'):

Same as your case?!
Ask you support worker to help you write the complaint and appeal, and post them both off without changing your mind.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

ThanksCoupon-mad, very similar to my case it seems. I will tackle this over the weekend, will be with them before even 21 days if I send it next week.
I really need to say how much this forum has helped me through dire times, and is helping me get back on my feet.
It cannot be underestimated how much you have all helped, and continued to help, in an instance where mental health services and social services have failed me and my family badly. Bless you all.0 -
Good luck Susan.
Don't forget there are lots of folks here who can and will support you.0 -
Just a question before my letter tomorrow. Do I write to the landowner, stating that the tenants- Aldi and Parking Eye, are imposing their own parking restrictions outside of planning permission, and request that they get the charge invalidated, and use the arguments discussed and also send a copy of the letter to parking eye, responding to their supposed charge and asking THEM to cancel it on those grounds?
Should I also ask PE for a popla code should they reject my appeal?0
