Sorry to hear that - and I know this is easy for me to say - but please do not take these scammers so seriously. You are in safe hands and you will NOT be paying a penny!

SlimmingSusan - There are several people actively helping you - but there are also quite a few more thinking of you, and wishing you well.
I feel sure that this will have a happy ending for you.
Try to forget these parasites for a while and have a relaxing evening.

Slimming Susan - make sure you read your PMs - could well mean you don't even need a POPLA appeal !0

Thanks Hovite, just seen your PM, cannot thank you enough for your help.
Also to LazyDaisy and others who have offered support.0 -
SlimmingSusan,
Your appeal is in your PM Inbox.
Good Luck !0 -
Hi and thanks Hovite. I have just gone onto the Popla website to submit the appeal, and the part where you input the code given to my by PE is coming up as code invalid?
I was going to send a paper copy by recorded delivery as well, should I do this anyway?
What can I do regarding this code PE have given me not being valid please?
Should I send them another letter recorded delivery asking for a valid code?
The letter with the appeal rejection and invalid code is dated 17th October, but I did not receive it until 21st. What is the timescale considering the code does not work?
Thanks in advance0 -
Try using internet explorer or another alternative to the browser you are using. Sometimes POPLA site throws its toys out of the pram with some browsers.
If that doesn't work there is a way of checking the dates on the code. I don't have the link but someone will.

Just double check the validity of it here. I wouldn't imagine PE playing games with a POPLA code.

Some have reported similar problems that related to the internet browser they were using (can't remember which the culprit was), but if you have access to another browser on your computer try opening the POPLA website with that and then resubmit your appeal.
If after checking your verification code (as above) it's OK, but you still can't send it electronically, then send the appeal by 1st class post with a free 'proof of posting' from your PO. Make sure your verification code is shown on each page of your appeal, the POPLA top page is the first sheet and then staple all together (not paper clip). Even if you're sending your appeal electronically, I'd still be inclined to send an 'insurance copy' by snail mail.
If your code is invalid there is no point in snail mailing the appeal, but get back to us for next steps if it's not valid.
HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Thanks for the advice.
I was using Firefox, but switched to IE as advised and it went through.
Have also sent a paper copy and will keep you updated.
Thanks so much.0 -
Have had a litter by email fro Popla, saying they have sent my appeal to PE for their evidence and response, before the scheduled date of hearing, and I will get a response on or soon after a date about 5 weeks away.
Is this normal, as I was shocked about a hearing date- sounds legal and formal.
Also disgusted have not had any reply from GVA.0
