  • Leesah, if you paid with paypal you should be able to get your money back, I still ended up £3.78 out of pocket for my return postage charges though because even though they had sent me a totally different coat to the one i ordered, they did not refund me the cost to myself for returning it to them via a trackable method :(
  • I wouldnt buy from them ever again. Bought a pair of mango boots with a postal cost of £5.95. They arrived smelling like they'd been stored in a damp shed for years and I couldnt even get my foot into them despite having ordered the correct size. I returned the boots at my expense as they didnt include a return postage slip at the cost of over £8.00 thinking I would recieve the money back. After I laid down the law they begrudgingly agreed to refund me however by this point I had mislaid my proof of postage. (how much proof to do you need other than having the boots in your hands and a stamp on the package that they had been returned?!). When I told them this, they never bothered replying.

Today I found my proof of postage -though it does not show the cost of the return so I have sent it to them. In my mind, they should at least be offering me the cost of how much they charge to deliver it returned to me. We'll see...

Suffice to say I shant be buying from them again

Out of interest, I read somewhere that they are a Spin off with a crowd of people who used to work for Groupon. Interestingly, I had trouble with Groupon too!!

  • I bought a Cardigan purportedly made by designer "A Postcard from Brighton".

Over 2 weeks after ordering it it turned up in a plain grey bag with no paperwork or packaging and the collar label had been cut out. It looked like I had ordered second hand goods from a vendor that didn't take much care.

There was nothing to indicate that the product was made by "A Postcard from Brighton" as claimed on the website and nothing to suggest it was actually new rather than second-hand how it looked.

I returned it and received a £2 refund. Which put me £2.95 out of pocket, then I paid to return it so now I'm over £5 out of pocket. So as it stands, I'd have been better off being unhappy with the product and not returning it.

If you're going to cut out labels and ship products without packaging then surely your website should say so.

I appreciate that the item was inexpensive, but the impression it created on arrival was not consistent with the professional marketing that enticed me.

I am still fighting for a further refund, because a) I am still out of pocket, b) they are in pocket and c) they have the garment to sell to some other unsuspecting consumer.
  • I wish I had done some research about this company before ordering!! On the 1st of October I ordered a Top Shop parker jacket. I chased the order several times to be told it had been dispatched and most have been lost in transit. However, according to Yodel it was never even picked up from SDN. The jacket was re-ordered three times before they emailed to say it was now out of stock and that a refund was issued. My account has now said that the refund was issued and had done for over a week but I am still awaiting the refund to reach me. I have raised a dispute with paypal. Next step watch dog ;)
  • I've read all the replies & to be honest I'm kind of puzzled. I've been ordering off SDN for a couple of years now & apart from maybe one or two products which didn't meet my expectations, I've not really had any problems with them. I've only ever had one order go astray but got a full refund & am generally very pleased with about 95% of the things I have bought from them. I will definitely be using them in the future. :T
  • I have just placed an order twenty minutes ago on the social discount network. I am a little concerned as I didn't receive an order confirmation email from them thought that was a bit odd and decided to check to see if there was any negatives online anywhere and came across this site. Now I'm extremely worried and wanted to know how I go about cancelling my order and payment, which I made by card.
    Any advice gratefully received

  • I've ordered from here and received goods. It took about 2 weeks for delivery, I placed a second order on the 8th so waiting on that arriving 😊
  • My daughter ordered some boots for herself and me, she ordered on the 28th and they have arrived today, but i am quite worried as the boots were made in China, although on the box it says Roma
What bothers me is the fur looks like real fur, and i know China is notorious for using cat and dog fur labelled as faux fur
I just cannot wear these boots if the fur turns out to be cat or dog fur
How can i tell, the backing is fabric ,but i am still not convinced
  • Made my first order with SDN last week and feeling a bit worried after reading all this. Found this forum by accident. Was searching for a reason why I can't login to my account. I put all my details in but can't get past the login page. Might have to email them. Anyway, not really willing to wait several weeks for delivery which seems is what regularly happens (if it arrives at all!) so will be asking about that at the same time.
