I don't get presents from my sister and my BIL separately and me and my OH don't buy them 2 presents each... from each of us.
My mother would certainly not expect 2 presents from us, or a separate present from my OH.. the same as his mother wouldn't expect separate ones from us?
It's MY mother and HIS mother.
However we do give separate presents/1 big one to friends who are both our friends independently.. that we would still be both of ours friends even if we split up.0
