Just read the bbc text service and it looks as though postmen/women who applied through the priority scheme will be allocated the amount they applied for, on top of the £2200 freeshares (pro-rota)they have been given. I hope this is right as im a postie

Age old adage. Only the rich get richer.

This is a real kick in the teeth to the middle classes that were brave enough to buy these shares, stimulate the economy and try and make money.

I am not sure what is exactly brave about the majority of applications in the last 48hrs when shares were already trading at 405p on futures and a guaranteed dividend of 6% had been confirmed.

If you were so brave whay was your money not stimulating the economy on another FTSE 250 company that was already trading rather than waiting for this sure thing

    What a waste of time..

I think it may have been better to let all private investors get £750's worth including those who applied for more then £10k's worth (or is it £10k and over?).

Firstly nothing is a sure thing,

Secondly, the city investment companies got their shares and were rewarded simply for being city investment companies.

It's not complicated. Just typical UK.

I applied through the government's website. I think it said 1% or a minimum of £17.50.

If I have only got £750 worth of shares that is a charge of 2.33%

I imagine I will have to pay to sell the shares so wasn't really worth speculating.

Sure it said £7.50 for the initial trading, then going to £17.50 after this ends.
