    You get your money back. You could use that money to buy some Royal Mail shares!

    Age old adage. Only the rich get richer.

    This is a real kick in the teeth to the middle classes that were brave enough to buy these shares, stimulate the economy and try and make money.

    Those rewarded will only be those who aready have millions (private multi-million city investment firms or those who have nothing and are looking to make an extra £100 for once in their lives.

    Remember this when you vote Tory, Lib or Labour next time. They are all the same. Money stays at the top and they do all in their power to keep it that way. If you poor, expect £100 from time to time. If you middle-class take as much money as you can and run for the continent where you get still get value for your money.

    Link not working.

    Works for me but then it may be using my cache or you may get the page that asks you what country you are in... silly people like the Americans asking if you are coming to commit terror offences!
    I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.

    Fair point. I can now spend £250 and have enough left over for a bag of crisps.

    Right now I am more interested to know when we will get our refunds back - seeing as how they took it right out of our account and are now sitting on it! OK I know they said "750 minimum" but they must have known that people would apply in multiples of £1000, that gives someone rather a nice little earner even at today's pathetic rates! :eek:

    From the Halifax;

    A refund of any unused cash will be made on 11 October.
  • Quick question:

    As someone who invested through a stockbroker AND through the government website, will I have an allocation of 2 x £750 or not?

    Ps - both applications were in my name

    You are only meant to make one application. I heard that it is a fraud if you made two applications.

    Cheers,
