If funds are buying them they have to tempt sellers by upping the price.
The funds are buying RM shares to keep.
They have to fulfill overseas orders as well as their own income and tracker funds.
To get the sellers to sell the price has to go up.
In Dec. RM will enter the Ftse100 that again will push up the price because the trackers HAVE to buy.
The "stags" on this one could be making a big mistake.0 -

Interesting logic, and you could well be right. But then, you could just as easily be wrong.
Second-guessing the market isn't even achievable by the so-called professionals! Trackers achieve better results, and for a lot less money.0 -
Looks like private investors applying over £10,000 are set to get none at all.

Stock market listing on Tuesday 15th October which is when everyone can trade.
Institutions and private investors who are clients of some stockbrokers can begin "conditional dealing" from Friday 11th October.0 -

15th October for full trading before then it is a "when issued" sale so the actual sale does not occur until the 15th.
"Please be aware of the following important information regarding the Royal Mail - When Issued Dealing Notification.
Please note that Royal Mail stock is subject to London Stock Exchange Rule 7050. Any trades placed from 8am 11 October until 4.30pm 14 October are being taken on a 'When Issued' basis. This means Royal Mail stock has not yet qualified for a stock exchange full listing. If the stock is not admitted to the Official List or to listing or quotation on an approved organisation, every transaction effected under this rule is void.
Listing is expected to occur at 8am on 15 October, at which point trades in Royal Mail Ordinary shares will no longer be undertaken on a 'When Issued' basis. You should only proceed to execute a transaction on a 'When Issued' basis if you have read and understood the potential outcomes.
What is 'When Issued' Dealing?
Often called 'conditional' dealing, When Issued dealing is a period of dealing with deferred settlement, which typically takes place in securities that are due to be listed or admitted to trading on one of the markets of the London Stock Exchange ('the Exchange').
Trades during the When Issued period, are conditional on the security being listed or admitted to trading and can only settle once this has taken place. In the event the security is not listed or admitted to trading, all transactions effected during the period of When Issued dealing are declared void by the Exchange. This information is disseminated to the market via a Stock Exchange Notice.
The When Issued period allows market participants the ability to trade a new issue ahead of its full listing and/or admission to trading on an organised and regulated basis. As well as facilitating price formation ahead of unconditional admission to trading it allows participants the earliest opportunity to agree an entry or exit price of a new issue according to their investment or regulatory requirements."I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0
