  • Did anyone get their cheque today from selling via Shareview (£17.50) last week?
  • Well my journey into royal mail shares is nearly at its end :-)

I got my shares registered today and I sold early for 5.08 which is not bad considering how up and down they were yesterday. As is always the case when trading, you can't help peek to see what they were just after you sell, and sadly it had went up to 5.15, but that is the name of the game, still a tidy wee profit of just shy of £400 is not a bad return.

I sold via X-O so the deal price is only 5.95 plus the £6.32 special delivery cost, still cheaper than trading online with Equiniti if they had not mucked up so many people with the dodgy wording on the application. I hope more people do it this way than line their pockets.

The money should be with X-O on Monday and all I have to do then is ask them to transfer it to my bank via BACS.

Has anyone got the money out of X-O yet, and if so, how long does it take from the point of selling the shares to money in the bank?

    Good luck everyone.
  • Has anyone thought of only selling a bit and holding the rest?

Sell to cash any profit above the initial 750 - then hold the rest.
  • Hi Antimoron.

Yes a few people have done than already which isn't a bad idea really. The only problem is that this increases the trading cost, but at least with X-O it is only 5.95 so you could do 3 trades for the price of one via Equiniti online.

Anyway for me, I need the money, I am getting new windows and doors fitted next week.

Yes, as long as you were happy with the price you accepted that's fine.

Noticed that the MSE share trading sticky is admitted to be out of date. It does not mention any recent bargain execution only brokers and not X-O of course. So thanks to the folks here who put me onto them, will be getting an account set up.
