Hi, first of all, i rarely ever dream, and when i do it's usually a nightmare.
But two nights ago i had a dream, good maybe, i think.
Basically it started at the gym reception i go to before i workout..
Just before i tell you what happened in the dream, let me tell you about the gym, i registered with them about a month ago and when i did they took a photo of me from behind the counter...anyway..to the dream..
Right, i walk into the gym and theres this strange woman smiling at me (there is a woman at the gym, at reception in real life that i think likes me, im not imagining that, im not really attracted to her and maybe thats why she likes me more? i dunno), but i couldnt make out her face in the dream and that was spooky..
Then that person seemed to be getting told off by the manager and she stormed past me and walked outside, i was still trying to see her face but couldnt, it was kind of blurred..
Just want to add..there are quite a few women at that gym and the lady at reception changes very often.
Then, from outside i could see her through a window holding up a photo of me, but it was a photo of how i looked about 10 years ago (as a teenager), next thing i know i managed to get it off of her and i ripped it into four pieces and threw it to the ground.
Then i turned around and my sister was sitting at a chair smiling at me.
That was the dream, thats where it ended.
But in real life, i have felt kind of weird at that gym, like they know me or something, they always refer to me by my first name, even the day after i joined.
I dont talk to my sister anymore, we used to really get on.
But its the photo thing, ripping it up, and the blurred woman thats really intriguing me.
Can someone help me to try and interpret this?
Thanks,
ps - Im not very superstitious, but this dream was interesting to me, and ive spent lots of time thinking about it, what did it mean?

And as if by magic she appears...............
Ok I will start by talking about the people with blurred faces, it's really not as scary as it seems.
When we dream about people it's usually the case that there is some aspect of their personality or character our sub concious feels we need to adopt in order to work through a problem or situation.
As your dream ladies face was blurred I would assume that she is incidental but I may get back to that, something in the back of my head is niggling.
The gym would indicate to me that you are considering the aspects of your identity that you choose to show to others in your waking life. The gym in your dream symbolises a temporary identity that you are presenting to other people but this identity is not really your true self and feels quite distant from who you really are.
When the picture of yourself was shown but as a younger person I would guess that the teen in the pic is who you really are and by ripping it up you are denying or trying to hide your true feelings or identity or some facet of your personality.
Your sister being there indicates you feel she knows the 'true' you, she is a direct link to your past self.
If I had this dream I would be thinking that the persona I show others feels wrong.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0

Now I think the blurred faces are people who he is just 'getting to know', as you are still almost strangers their faces appear blurred.
As to ripping up the photo of yourself as a teenager - perhaps you feel that people are not seeing you as a mature person? or are you striving to appear more mature than you really are?
I too think this is why your sister appears - she knows who you really are and as she is smiling at you it appears she approves of the more mature you. (could you be encouraged enough by this to perhaps make contact and mend bridges with her?)
I think the dream IS quite positive!0

Funny enough, I had a weird dream last nigh too.
All I remember that I was in some sort of prison ( I think I was a prisoner)and there was some investigation going on how we were treated.
I remember having a bowl of food in front of me with some tomatoey pasta slop. But when I ate it I found nuts and bolts, nails and metal springs in it. I didn`t see any faces, but I know the guard was watching and making me eat it. I woke up sweaty and only remembering this.
Has it got something to do with the tv news a few days ago about how badly prisoners are treated in uk?
And other thing happened , which was relevant to this dream, but I just cant remember what it was.
Does it suggest that dreams are just mush up things that chapped in our lives in some way?0

How do you know all that?0

Do you mean how do I know the meaning of the dreams for sure?
 I don't.
I first got interested in dreams when my stepdad brought home a huge, beautiful, glossy, hardback book about dreams, their meanings, I was only young and was enthralled by the mystical pictures.
He was very interested in spiritualism of ourselves, he was a member of the divine light mission in his youth and although no longer part of it he still enjoyed self discovery.
We would sit and pour over it together me telling him daft dreams and him reading out the meaning.
When I was 12 he changed he and my mum were having an awful time, he was being dreadful to me, this lasted for 2 years.
 He left
 I was devastated.
He died a few years ago, very suddenly.
When we were clearing out his flat I found the dreams book and asked his daughter, my sister if I could keep it.
I took it home and I read it.
As I read I saw so many of my dreams interpret into the emotions I felt at that time I was amazed.
I started reading into it more, dismissing the claims that dreams tell the future, but keeping an open mind , you never know!
I looked more into the pure interpretation side.
I started analysing my own dreams, my husbands, family they all got fed up of me.
I'm not saying I have any powers, I can just read books.
I don't tell people what I think they should do, I try not to put my own personal interpretation on them too much, it's easy to build a scenario in your head and I wouldn't want to project that onto anyone.
Theres a lot of science involved, I will go into if anyone wishes but now I'm gonna watch strictly.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0

I totally agree it is your brain sorting stuff out, it replays emotions you've felt, people you've met etc most of us can find the answer to our worries ourselves.
I just think dreams can help us find the answer quicker.
Dreams are our brains way of trying to make sense of all the information we have taken in during the day and fills in the blanks.
Body language we may have missed, facial emotions, gestures, words spoken.
Many of us will wake up suddenly realising the answer to a problem that is bugging them and never think about the dream again, its done it's job.
Recurring dreams happen when you are not finding an answer to what is upsetting or worrying or bothering you.
It may be you don't realise something is bothering you until the dream suddenly makes sense then we don't have it again.
I don't claim to know whether all or any of this is true, it's my opinion but I totally get why many wouldn't share that opinion so please lets not argue, I really enjoy this.
Am happy to discuss though, just not argue.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0

Ok, this is quite a complex dream.
Being a prisoner indicates you may be feeling censured in life, perhaps your creativity is being limited and you feel unable to express yourself.
To be eating alone indicates a feeling of loss or loneliness, perhaps rejection from family or friends.
The type of food tells us a bit more about the emotions we are feeling, tomatoes are a healthy food and idicate exploring these emotions is healthy for us.
The fact the food turns horrible indicates to me that a bitterness or resentment and or emotional exhaustion are stopping you from exploring these healthy emotions.
