    I know nothing about this and would be very interested to what is deemed competence? As far as I am concerned my DS is fully aware of what it entails etc etc...

    For example if the GP assesses your son not to be competent to make the decision then I suppose he could be forced to have the blood test. Not sure that's the road you want to go down though.
