Can I sign up please? I have around £3k in debt from a holiday last year and things piling up on credit cards (stupid car/shopping addiction). It's all on an interest free credit card, thankfully, but I'm still aiming to clear it by next June and hopefully before.

I'm all good with the rules with one exception - I have a friend's birthday which requires one meal out, and I have already (over)-budgeted for that, with anything leftover to go into paying off the debt. My only splurge is likely to be petrol for driving down to the friend's birthday as I live 250 miles away from my friends and family. Expensive but unavoidable. (Well, avoidable, but only with the consequence of upsetting a friend, missing the birthday party of my best friend's daughter, missing my friend's party and also missing celebrating my dad's birthday. At least their birthdays are all close together!)

The 'no eating out' is a good one for me! It's far too easy to just skip making lunch the night before and head to the cafe. Have taken tomorrow's lunch out of the freezer, though, as I plan on swimming after work tomorrow and will therefore need a decent lunch.

Oops - forgot to add. The minimum payment on the card will go out in a few days, but I have paid off £200 today which leaves me with around £150 leftover 'spare' on the budget. I prefer to leave that free because my employers don't always manage to pay my salary on time and I need a buffer to make sure the rent can be paid on the 1st of next month. As soon as the salary's paid for November, I will transfer that £150 (which I'm kinda hoping I can push up by £20) onto the credit card.
