Morning all
Just checking in with another NSD so that's 3 SFD so far and should be another today.
We're fairly housebound this weekend as DH is going to lock himself in the bedroom and study so, bar Waterbabies lessons in the morning, I'm going to be indoors ALL weekend. Should be good for the spending at least![STRIKE]DFD 22/7/14[/STRIKE]

Yippee it's the weekend :j. Although it's going to be a much needed quiet on in the Daisychain household. There's lots of housework to be done and TV to be watched!
This does mean that it's going to be another SFD for me.

Morning everyone!
Didnt check in yesterday, would have been a sfd for me put dh ruined it by putting £20 worth of petrol in the car! Grr!
I did go shopping but took some clothes back to n3xt that people had bought for baby dragon, swapped some for bigger sizes and kept the rest on a gift card, so i can buy what i need in future! Not sure what he'll get for xmas so i thought id wait until he needs something before wasting.
Also bought dd a pair of trainers, that she wanted to buy herself out of birthday money, so thats come straight back to me.
My lovely mother gave me £25 that she owed meso i was having a really good day until dh went and ruined it!
Now for today: just been informed that theres no food here for the furry friends, and we need to go shopping! Grr! I know tomorrow will be a spend day but apparently we need the food today. So my plan is to buy everything we need for the week, food wise, today and will spend on dd's birthday party tomorrow, then will have a sfd week as much as i can!
So its the 5th of the month and im on 1 pathetic sfd!
Been very good in the kitchen this week, made soup, quiche, flap jacks and fairy cakes. The cakes went to dd's school as we were asked to make/buy some for charity event.
Budgets so far:
Groceries: £52.96/£200
Fuel: £40/£120
Food bank: 0/3
Extra £100: 22p/£100
Misc: £19.50/50
Had friends over last night who didnt leave until 9pm and really didnt feel like cooking but resisted a take away and made a fry upnot very healthy i know, but it was good!
Still here..... but working on that!0 -

Superdopsa thank you. Coke is an old nemesis of mine and I was weak and gave in, lol. I knew the headache was going to come, it's still niggling today but it's not as bad. I'm not a fan of fizzy water, and much prefer still water.
We badgered at work to get a water machine in our office, which is away from any other real facilities and I regularly have six or seven pints of water at work. Keeps me fit at least running to the nearest bathroom!:jFeb NST #4

hello all!
Gosh! I love how busy it is on here! Well, yesterday I had my 3rd NSD - today or tomorrow we'll go to the market so hopefully another NSD this weekend!
Not much to say here - still no letters so still no shopping! But my friend has said that their friend would like a website built for 400 quid and would I be interested - well, it's been a fair few months since I did any website building but I think I could give it a crack!
What do you think Ladies and Gents?
Should I give it a go?
I couldn't build something like the MSE forum though! :rotfl:
SFD: 3/20

littleskintdragon I'm still on 1 SFD day too
As we're all talking about getting more exercise and giving up our vices, thought I'd add my health woes. Yesterday I had a cholesterol checkunfortunately it was bad and as a result "lifestyle changes" have been recommended
I barely drink, don't smoke, walk the dogs for at least 40 minutes a day and stand up and walk around all day at work. So the only thing left is my dietI love my food, especially if it contains saturated fat, so this is definitely the problem. I am also overweight by approximately 2 stone.
So as well as becoming less in debt, I'm going to lose weight and eat more healthily. As NSK said in the first post, if you have a specific target, you are more likely to stick to it. Therefore, I'm aiming for a stone by New Year, does this sound realistic? 14 lbs in 12 weeks? This may also help with reducing the food budget!
Hope you all have a lovely day, I'm off to make a pretty weight loss chartLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Morning all,
And what a lovely sunny morning it is up here in Shopshire, I might be so brave as to put a wash on the line while I run out to do some errands
Stewby - I've just started using a pedometer to try and up my exercise level till I can get back in the Gym. I am currently stuck to a desk in work and was very dismayed to see I take on average about 600 steps through my work day, I think this is mostly walking out of my house to the car and then from the car into work (and vice versa)!! I set myself the task of walking 10,000 steps a day. My offices are set over three floors but I have no real need to be on the top floor, I think my colleagues may think I'm getting a little strange when I say I'm off to the photocopier (end of my hall) and they then see my trekking all over the unit :rotfl: So good luck Stewby and have big :T from me I know it's not as easy as it seems.
Stoplurking...have you considered buying extra milk and freezing it? just a pint or two just to have for emergencies? I've been looking at this recently and many people say this is perfectly alright, the only concern is making sure the carton doesn't split under the pressure of the expanding ice. I had nearly a full pint left before I went on holiday last month so popped it in the freezer as an experiment. I took it out when we returned and defrosted it overnight. It looks a little yellow when it first defrosts but I gave it a good shake and it was perfect. I'm going to pop two 1 pinters in my freezer now for emergencies, although I may have a sip or two from them first to prevent any splitting.
NSK - OH is very good with the whole MSE lifestyle, but as the majority of the debt is theirs I should bl**dy hope so! I shouldn't judge OH to harshly though as I can see most of the debt was built up during our 'courting days' so I definitely benefited from it. I think when I told OH I would take control of all the finances they nearly passed out with relief! It had definitely reached the point they were becoming unmanageable.
Cottage Retreatist ...£400 !! Go for it, it'll be good to blow the cobwebs off your web-building skills ..'use it or lose it' as they say
OH has clocked up 26 hours OT at time and a half these last two days so I can finally stop worrying about my MOT which is due next week, I've a feeling I need brake pads and shoes and was starting to panic a little as the Chritsmas fund would have had to take the hitI didn't pull my head out of the sand till halfway through this year so haven't been able to build up the savings pots I will have by this time next year. So this is a load off my mind.
So nothing much more to report from yesterday...except an extra SFD

sorry to hear your health news :(i think that sounds achievable as you will prob loose a few extra in the first few weeks so will 1lb per week.
one thing i found helpful was to initially use my fitness pal (website or app) to log everything i ate and exercise i did. i dont really eat any processed foods except yoghurt and my unhealthy snacks so had no real idea how many calories etc.. i ate. you can add your recipes and it calculates it for you. i am quite boring and eat the same 7 meals each week for dinner and the same few soups at lunch so after about 2 weeks it wasnt much faff. i found it useful to plan what to eat and what a difference changes could make. dont really bother now as know my food and snacks are ok as long as i avoid unhealthy snacks!
i will join you as i would also like to loose 14lbs by new year so we can cheer each other oni am going to add it on to my stats but my weigh in day is wed

cottage retreatist- i would also say go for it! that is a great amount if you have the time to do it
my mum always freezes milk and its fine. i have got a pint in there now for emergencies. just remember to get it out the night before so its fully defrosted as doesnt defrost evenly so if you try and use it when only a bit is defrosted i find it watery. but exactly the same once fully defrosted!
liliyanna before i did the inca trek i decided to train my legs by walking up stairs so used to walk up the 10 flights in my office at lunchtime each day. was quite funny as few of my colleagues joined me and two of us used to do 30 flights per lunch time! my office was on the ground floor so otherwise i didnt do much walking! perhaps you could turn it into an office competition!
i am having a lazy day until i go out tonight so just going to clean up and cook a pot of daal for lunch. going to try the lentil and spinach one i saw in that blog posted on here as looks yummy :A:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
