The October Awakening!

shyspender - I used to be addicted to diet coke and gave up for Lent this year and have only had 1 glass since. I do drink the odd fizzy drink (can of Vimto tonight), but sometimes I find if I really crave something fizzy sparkling water does the trick.
As predicted today was a spend day. £39 to my friend for our trip to France. Tomorrow will also be a spend day as have to tax car, so will do supermarket shop as well. Think I can last with petrol for a few more days. That is all my planned spends for the weekend - have lots of housework to catch up on, and laundry to get done - think it will be nice here at the weekend so fingers crossed I can get it all out on the line.
I have lots of craft projects on the go too so will crack on with those this weekend to keep me out of town and therefore stop me from spending!
Have a nice weekend all and check in again tomorrow.0 -
Good evening.
So... I might have overdone it a bit today. I have achieved the one objective I wasn't even trying to do. I have offered to work tomorrow dayshift which means I get I have managed to make £100 in the month of October.
Today was another spend free day so that is three now and of course, lunch was a sandwich.
I have decided to do my own personal challenge which is to try and exercise more. I have been given a pedometer from work so I am going to try and walk more... today I walked 17, 598 steps which is almost 10 miles.
I can't think of what else I have done today but I am quite proud of having only spent £15.40 this week. People probably don't know this but I always run out of money by the 10 - 15th of the month so to still have so much money at this point is amazing.
Hope everyone else is having a lovely day.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Hi Kat,
Do you think making a £3 donation to Trussell Trust is a cop out? I completely understand the argument you're making, and was looking forward to making up a £3 donation of food, but I've found out my nearest food bank will be a 24 mile round trip to a town I don't have any other reason to go to. Thoughts?
Just a idea, as its harvest time primary schools and churches are taking food donations to send to nearest bank xxDebt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0 -
Another nsp so that's 4 now.
Woke up to extra £40 in bank, assume its from child benefit for my second daughter, not sure if thats for past weeks as Id thought I get the two girls on the same date so I'll have to wait and see.
I have a nice xmas pot now £££. Not sure how to start attacking the presents, spread out between the three girls or try and do one at time, leaving oldest til last, as she never know what she wants, teenagers!!!

Unfortunately not a SFD for me as had to buy cat food, but should have 2 in a row now as not going anywhere over the weekend.
Boss took me for breakfast so that was a result!
Just slipped in the kitchen ( on stupid cat bowl ) if I'd been watching myself I would have thought it hilarious:rotfl: if I'd not dropped my iPhone in the flippin sink!!! it's now in a bowl of rice drying out!!
OH just phoned to say the standing order we set up to pay the rent has come back returned, so agent must have given us wrong bank details so just emailed the landlord direct to double check them....on a plus side OH asked me before I left this morning if there was anything I needed him to do today while I was at work:rotfl: !!!
He even made me a cake
A weekend spend doing studying, work ( I brought home some stuff to do that I just don't get time to do in the office cause staff are always asking stupid questions or my boss is wanting to chat )
And watching "quality" TV :rotfl:
Have a good weekend everyone!!0 -
Spend day today so still on 3/20 SFD. Lunch taken to work that's 4/23. Spent on entertainment 36/50 but I think that's it for entertainment this month. £3 on stamps, that better come out of entertainment I guess.
New grocery month starts tomorrow thankfully. OH might get some spuds now, hee hee. Hope to get everything for the week tomorrow, milk is always out to get my SFDs.
Have a great MSE weekend everyone. XMFIT -T5 #420 -

Hi everyone
Couldn't check in yesterday as little one and I have finally succumbed to the head cold we'd been fighting all week  So, I didn't get to do my stress combat class at work, which i definitely need, lol. On the plus side another NSD here too. An unexpected 4 pounds has come from quidco :T It's only 4 pounds, but it's a credit rather than a debit, so I'm happy :T
Stewby-how inspiring regarding the walk :T I love walking and it's the only exercise I can stick with. I stopped walking really, when my job and childcare arrangements , meant I had to take transport everywhere. However, I have nothing to do on Sundays, so I think I'll get walking :T Thanks for the ideaI nearly had a cardiac when I saw my holiday pictures that DD had posted on Instagram
Good Luck everyone and keep up the good work:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0
