Slightly off topic, but does anyone else have to deal with people at work, that think it's ok to always ask you to 'lend' them money for lunch or vending machines  What annoys me, is they seem to label you as tight fisted if you say no, (through experience, you rarely get it back) rather than see it as you don't lend out what you cannot afford to never see again. And it always seems to be the ones with packed (and expensive) social calenders too! I'm quite happy to be labelled
just wondered if others here, get that too.
Unfortunately we have a thief at workRealised a few months ago that several of us had "misplaced" money and had all been assuming we'd forgotten we'd spent it or lent it to the kids or OH. As soon as one person realised they had definitely lost money, we all realised we had had similar instances
On the plus side I don't take my purse into work now, so can't lend money

Tomorrow is looking like it will follow suit as I am working from home
I'm hoping to have a cheap, if not free weekend as I will be cashing in my tesco days out vouchers at the zoo for me and OH on Sunday. We'll be taking our own packed lunches. I'm super excited as I haven't been for a few years now, it normally costs £20 a pot so to go for free will be extra sweet!
Must sort myself something out to do on Saturday to try not to spend any money... may be I can make use of this time and source items to sell on eb@y, Faceb00k or Gumtr33...hmmm I may even start sourcing tonight...
 I can go geocaching on Saturday as well....lovely, my weekend is sorted! I wonder if I'll have to climb any more trees...:coffee:

Evening,
Day off from work today and I've just been pottering around my flat and catching up on some bits.
SFD today, which was planned but then I didn't go out, so would have been hard to spend money.
AFD too, that makes three, I started the challenge on Monday to start the week off.
Managed to find something to make for lunch tomorrow and Friday so doing well there too.
Shopping on Friday and just found out I've got 20% discount between Thursday and Sunday. Going to write a list though so that I stick to the bits I need to get to use the bits I have in the cupboard and don't just buy more of the same. I always try to go with a list, even have one on the trolley handle, and then I either forget the only thing I really wanted, or end up going off list.
Although I have the CC to pay off, I'm also going to be trying to save as much as I can once I get into the budget frame of mind. I am looking to move and also maybe go to the States next year.
I have a grand total of £5.40 in my pocket and that has to last until I get to the supermarket on Friday after work. But then I'm planning on Thursday being a SFD and Friday won't spend anything until it's shopping time.Feb NST #4

:AVery proud of myself so far, even got OH involved,
he desperately needs a new pair of work shoes so off to Brantano's we go ( was near Aldi when we did food shop) No shoes suitable for him, but 2 pairs of lovley shoes for me that would be perfect for work and a bargain too at £13 and £17, but I thought of this challenge and thought NO!!! I'd be letting myself down, the shoes I have will last me a bit longer!!! Wow how liberating, I even said to my OH as we were walking out without them that's £30 off our debt to your mum! Go me!!!!:rotfl:
All in all a good start!!!!!
Can anyone tell me how to do a signature thingy?
And is it customary to "thank" when you've read a post?0 -
Checking in with my second SFD. Have updated my signature with budgets. Spending a bit more than I wanted to but have quite a few social events this month that I really can't get out of. On the plus side, November will be a quite month.
