Afternoon
Not a SFD for me as am out this evening with friends... and I may have bought myself a Starbucks 'Spiced Pumpkin Latte' as a treat out of my spending money. It was lush - but having donated £3.00 to the Trussell Trust's '22 meals for a latte' it was a very different drinking experience!!! Kinda humbling really. That will be my last one in a while for sure.
Been thinking how I can raise £100 this month... My Mum got me kick started by giving me £20 as a treat for passing my exam!!! I got a £3.50 Tesco voucher which I'll use on fuel and stash the coins... and cashed in £4.00 worth of 5ps = £27.50 extra so far... Am going to have to get creative now!!!
Enjoy your afternoons everyone!!!

Well I went out at lunchtime to Pr1mark to buy DS some waterproof trousers - they didn't have any. Good news is I didn't spend any money, bad news is that they said they wouldn't be getting any in so I'll have to spend more elsewhere now
Asked OH to get the fruit I need tonight so not spending there. I do need to pick DS up a single duvet though but will try and hold off until Friday when it's a spend day anyway. My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Afternoon all!!..... 3 pages since I logged in yesterday! Wowsers!!! Looks like you lot are eager with the fear factor subsiding for ruthless determination! I like this a lot!
Well I steamed my socks off with my friend for over an hour yesterday intermittent trips to the sauna nearly killer us but I felt super clean and relaxed - is it weird that my leisure centre has communal changing rooms / showers...?
Today however I had the delight of visiting the dentist. 4 hours. That is how long it took. The student 5th year dentist was very good, very thorough but I nearly fell asleep in the chair. I was possibly in for a root canal (not needed in the end) but have to have a filling removed and a temp crown fitted. I have a very sensitive gag reflex ( keep your jokes to yourself please...:p) and had difficulty with the impression they had to take of my teeth with putty....bleurghhhh! Although she was impressed at how wide I could get my mouth:rotfl: ... and left me in the same position for 90 minutes while she drilled, suctioned, scraped, prodded and such forth....
Now I am at work until 1930...#groan.
So welcome to Kayester, Luckyginger, Pinkylds and a welcome back to Nanell...... am I right in thinking that apart from Abundant and Mr Cobes everyone of you is a girly..?
Now I have read all the pages that have accumulated over the last 24 hours. Forgive me if I cannot assign names to every question / comment but I am at work and my sneaky, light-footed albeit incredibly sexy boss has a habit of appearing behind me without warning to look at my computer screen so I need to type fast...although I think he just wants to look down my top...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Fyggy are you bulking to compete? I have joined a group on Facebook called "bodybuilding inspiration".. I want to get ripped but get obsessed pretty fast. MSE is the only obsession I can deal with right now - when the timing is right I will be giving Abundant a run for his money...
Someones husband is excited about this challenge and creating a spreadsheet at work with formulas etc... I am so impressed. Expecially with the amount of OH's getting on board to debt bust.. :T
Andrar no need to apologise, I know what it's like to move...I would love to be in your position. When I return from travelling I think I migh consider living on my own. Right now in my area a studio flat which would be small and not including bills is anywhere between £650 and £1000 a month. Not ideal in my current money saving state - one day though... pan lids at the ready....
Kittyboo.. honey if you are registered disabled don't be so hard on yourself! I can't see your signature .. but if you want to tell us your debt amount, income/outgoings etc we can help you manage a little better - OR better still start a thread and tell everyone due to your disability times are tight.... but as Martin says "no debt is un-fixable"... 2113 is 100 years from now. are you planning on hanging around that long... please tell us more.. we can help you suss things out....
Right folks - I have towrite an inbox message to a lady who is hopefully reading this thread and will introduce herself to the board someday.. she is too timid but from the sounds of things supremely lovely and in need of emotional support.. I shall be back with more shortly...

Hey guys and gals,
Just a quick message and it may appear quite random... I just want to say a HUGE thank you to the likes of NSK and all of you lovely peeps on these challenges who support, cheer and motivate myself and each other. You are all Lovely Jubbley!
Today, I have been absolutely appalled by some comments I have read on another thread today, between MSE forumites- to the point where I have had to report several posts and asked for the powers above to remove the thread all together.
Again thank you all for your support- I am proud to have you guys as challenger buddies and look forward to catching up with y'all each day.
I hope you are all having a great Wednesday!! :T:coffee:

Slightly off topic, but does anyone else have to deal with people at work, that think it's ok to always ask you to 'lend' them money for lunch or vending machines  What annoys me, is they seem to label you as tight fisted if you say no, (through experience, you rarely get it back) rather than see it as you don't lend out what you cannot afford to never see again. And it always seems to be the ones with packed (and expensive) social calenders too! I'm quite happy to be labelled
just wondered if others here, get that too.

Totally agree :T I felt very scared 'embracing' all of this, but NSK has done a great job on motivating us and making us all welcome and so has everyone else on here:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -

I point blank refuse to lend anyone money. Expecially those that are happy, like you so rightly said to throw it away on drinks after work. Although perhaps I have "NSK Debt Buster Always Says NO" stamped on my forehead cause not one person has asked to borrow anything...:rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Evening all,
Well i'm thinking of ebaying some pan lids.....I never knew theres was so much vale in them!!!!
The people who use to ask to borrow lunch money off me were usually hungover!! Not my problem if they've drunk their money :-)
Wed is one of my spends days as I have ladies darts tonight. Have budgeted £5 for it, I wonder how much change I bring home. As Ive done shopping today and not yesterday I should have 6 nsds this week!
Was annoyed as argos put the voucher offer on today but added a extra £10 to the item I wanted, therefore I had to pay more cash!! However, damage control swapped the voucher with £10 from christmas shopping pot so not overspent now!! Cheeky monkeys!
Another £50 paid off holiday (have to pay £50 a week to pay off before due date) £10 put in debt fund and all cards, birthday presents etc paid for. No spare cash this week for christmas funds, but apart from next week, ive nothing else to pay out for except usual bills etc.
Will bob in later to keep on top of all posts xDebt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0 -

I have just realised that a colleague has got herself qualified as a Personal Trainer earlier this year. More importantly she is an avid weights user and her own physique has changed dramatically in the passed little while.
She has offered to write me up a 12 week program. She also has...**gulp** bodyfat calipers that I have given the green light for because I am desperate to know how much actual fat I have on my body ...(weighing yourself is pointless folks)....
So I might be targetting this weight loss thing the same way as I am debt busting. With vigour, blood, sweat and tears...
But just a little thanks to Traveller(color guess) and LoveaDove... you guys keep me in check as well you know...:T:T:T“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
