Another one who puts on the auctions that for environmental reasons recycled packaging may be used
Next thing somebody will start a thread that a buyer didn't like a cardboard box being reused
So long as the packaging does the job it shouldn't matter if it has been used before
Not sure how many times you can reuse jiffy bags but they can't be manufactured just to be used onceDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -

I take your point, but sometimes Amazon postage doesn't even cover the cost of posting heavier books!
(I recently sent one that cost £5)My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Silly really, I've never had anyone say anything except for when I used a empty beer box as an outer box for a well secured item! And even then they said they'd bought two of the same item and mine was much more securely packed and sent as the other item broke in transit!0

Part of Amazon's T&C are that items are dispatched in new packaging:

Re-reading the op it says "that i shouldnt re-use jiffy bags" not that the buyer objected to recycling, perhaps they were selling on Amazon and a buyer was trying to point their terms out ???

Do the buyers not realise that white jiffy bags cost a lot more than brown jiffy bags which would mean that they would have to pay more for p&p?0 -
I have had every type of recycled packaging imaginable!! As long as it keeps my item safe and secure i don't care how many times it has been reused.
You do get some odd people on ebay!Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)0 -
some people dont like receiving things in pre-used jiffy bags because they are less asthletically pleasing when they are crumpled ect, and they think you are cheaping out on them for not buying a new bag. however thats just tough really, because its much better for the environment, and if their item hasnt arrived damaged or parts missing then they havent a leg to stand on in a formal complaint.0

Crikey, Amazon are now the packaging policeMy TV is broken!

The most unusual packaging I used was an egg box. The item sold fitted perfectly. The buyer mentioned it in the feedback as 'made me laugh - an ingenious use of packaging'. Good job it wasn't sent to 'Mr I want a new jiffy each time!'0
