  • Sorry about the job, however things will work out for the best.  It's amazing how peopIe who have a good talk and no actions, are never found out, as you say management will turn a blind eye and always someone there to pick up the slack so they don't get found out.  :s  always wanted to own a shop, made redundant at 22 and went for it, the redundancy payment helped.  So good luck with yours, can't help thinking about the "vin de van" or similar on the Chateaux when Angel bought a van and transformed it into a bar for weddings, events etc.
Nice win on the PB's - how long have you had them for?  Still can't get over the fact badmemory won twice with the same no. - you know how I'm into numbers - preferably 00's  o:)
    Lol - about your comment your Prince having a back like a banana . . .  :#
Have a lovely weekend and Good Luck with your new business.

Hi Frayed Knot. Ive had premium bonds for years on and off. Ive always used them for saving for things, like when we were paying the mortgage off on our previous house.. we saved up until we had enough to clear it, as we both worked for the same company we also saw it as a safety net in case the business went under or something..
At the moment our bonds are our emergency fund.which im so glad we have saved, as we would have been up the poopy creek without them  :open_mouth:
In business news, my icecream trailer has been registered with the council, and is awaiting inspection.. ive bought some vintage signs for the business which match the trailer.. its rained nearly everyday since i bought it, hope this isnt a sign of whats to come, dont fancy selling icecreams in the rain.. dont think id sell many somehow.
Im awaiting permission to trade from the council before i purchase my  catering trailer now, as its such a large ammount of money, i dont want to spend £1000s on the business only to be told im not allowed to trade. I wouldnt be able to re-sell quickly, as with everything thats going off people will be selling up not buying businesses..
its annoying all the hoops you have to jump through just to make a little business set up, its getting late in the year, and time isnt on my side before the weather starts turning and footfall really drops down ... i will just have to wait for the councils decision i suppose.
i may have a part time job thanks to a friend recommending me, to a farm shop that does food and sandwiches etc at lunchtime.. i have to go for a chat tommorow, im hoping it will give me some valuable experience, thats if i get it.. dont know the hours/pay or anything yet..

ive not made any additional overpayments this pay day, but ive literally scraped all the spare cash to pay off the cc, which ive used to buy signage, pay for preplanning permission to trade, online course, and the icecream trailer itself, so over £1800, which i had planned on taking out ot the bonds, but thankfully ive not had to.
im determined to keep to my budget, we will get through this financial bumpy road..

Not been on many walks in the countryside other than ones near where you can get lunches etc.

Not sure how far your ice cream trailer is from your house, however I do see signage, asking to ring a bell, or approach the farm.  Some may welcome some home made soup or a hot chocolate before carrying on with their walk.  I have see some which sell home made gifts etc as well.

    Exciting stuff.
