Good news, the broker seems to think he can find a lender, he is calling Monday afternoon to take all our details, then he reckons an offer should be forthcoming monday/Tuesday :j

Im a liitle nervous, and very excited now everything seems to be coming together, it feels like its really happening, and our house move will really be taking place in the very near future :)

I know we have a way to go, completeing the mortgage application/ selling this house, and finding a new one, but it feels like we are getting to the end of the long tunnel of the last 4/5 years..

We have achieved so much, cleared all debts (30kplus) that my hubby was saddled with after his divorce, the solicitors costs relating to us having to force the sale of his former marital home, after his ex and her new hubby didn't keep to the agreement to remortgage in their names, instead they chose not to pay the mortgage at all, and go on 3/4 holidays a year, which to this day they continue to do, which is the reason we have had to wait 3 years after the sale of that property, and rebuild his credit history as much as possible.:(

But on the positive side, while we waited, we have also been saving, so as soon as we had paid all debts, we set to and between 2013-2015 we completely cleared the remaining £40,000 mortgage on the house we live in, then june 2015, when the mortgage was paid off, we started saving all our excess cash into premium bonds, of which to date we have £10,000 :T

I hope after all our hard work, we can find a new home in a peaceful, at least semi-rural area, where we can enjoy country walks, horse riding again for me, our little patch of green to enjoy the pleasures of the countryside and outdoor life :)

:) Great news, hubby and i received the long awaited news that we can at last get our joint mortgage :j

I know its daft to get excited about being back in debt with another mortgage, but we have strived towards this moment for the last 3 years, and we are so happy!!

We can borrow £200,000 max. and with our £100,000 deposit from the sale of this house, fingers crossed we can find our patch of land and little cosy forever home. This weekend we can now start searching for houses, its so exciting :j The estate agent is coming tomorrow to value this house, and we can get it on the market, cant wait :j:j:j

    Thanks Poppy!

More news- the estate agent we chose has suggested a realistic price for this house is £115,000 - £120,000, that's a little more than we thought, but we found out two houses really close to us sold for near enough that price in the last few weeks, so thats good news :T

So, as of today our house is on the market, the board goes up early next week, photos and brochures to be sorted for middle of next week, all being well it will be on rightmove by next Wednesday morning :j

We are allowing 5 months to sell, which takes us to our 36 month challenge- to move August, here's to a plan coming together, ive got everything crossed! :)

Our house has its for sale board up, and is on rightmove, just the epc and then brochures to be done.

We aren't in a mad rush, we are hoping to sell by August, any offers before that will be a bonus :)

We are keeping our premium bond savings up, and are continuing with meal plans, and saving on everything we can to allow as much as possible for our house moving costs :)

Not a very eventful week in the house move/hunting stakes.

We have had no viewings yet for our house, though as we have yet to see anything we like, this isn't an issue.

My daughter who lives with us is also house hunting with her BF, so to be honest, we aren't really looking hard for our new house yet, as we would prefer her to be sorted so that she doesn't have to move twice.

We still hope to have moved by the end of the year though :)

Every month allows us more to save anyway, we have a long way to meet out £35,000 challenge

The rest of this month I'm trying to rein in the grocery and misc spends, as this month , partly due to me needing new reading glasses , we have gone over our budget by £253  and I need to claw this back some how..:(

Also, our car is due MOT, and next week is daughters birthday, we usually give her £100, and we go out for tea, so an expensive month overall , but daughter deserves a treat, and its nice to all go out together, sometimes with us all working full time we hardly get chance for a chat, especially with my son, now he has his own house. Cant wait to get together next Saturday :j

    An expensive month!

The good news is our lovely daughter has had offer accepted on a house she loves, so if it all goes to plan, in the next 6-8 weeks she could be in her dream first home with her boyfriend :j

As we gave son £700 for furniture when he bought his house, we have given her the same this month, she is using hers for fees etc, so its going to good use, so extra outgoings stand at £1150 total for this month , but all for good reason, glasses, daughters birthday and house warming gift, car mot etc:)

Had my pay today, hubby gets paid Thursday, so hopefully then I will shuffle everything around and make a payment to our savings/premium bonds, we need a big win in May!!:rotfl:
