    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thank you try-harder, good luck for your 2024 plans, i love a challenge! and p.bonds give that added bonus of the chance of a win each month to give a little excitement to saving!

Im a lady 0f leisure until the 5th January, my little cafe has closed for the festive period, as we are very remote, and i need a break from the bad weather are we- arent we opening with the alternate freezing/peeing down with rain/gails

I put aside cash through my summer months to cover a couple of months wages for winter, as we are weather dependant due to location/set up, to aleviate the stress..

i really am enjoying the break!! lots of plans whirling round my head, i need to put pen to paper and list my goals for 2024..
ive been making overpayments where i can this month, i did a budget at the beginning of the month, and paid/transferred money for everything then, usually i do this weekly

. Any little savings/unexpected money through december will go to the mortgage.

its blowing a gale here! i definately made the right decision closing the cafe over december/xmas and new year..
im enjoying the time off, though hubby is working until 23rd.

Off for a filling replacing this morning, then last supermarket shop before christmas.
This will probablybe my  last venture out until after christmas, i love being here so once we are stocked up with food, and all animals food bedding is here already as i bought early, we can relax and enjoy being here together.

2024 plans are- pay the 10% allowed off the mortgage- amount to be confirmed 1st January when its showing on banking
Get water system replaced- very expensive- total to be confirmed- and pay this amount back to saved amount in p.bonds- this may be 24 month payment plan..

i watched the goodlife christmas special on iplayer  last night, totally in the christmas spirit now!

no more spending as all shopping done, will be a small supermarket shop next week, and fuel top up, that should be it for 2023 spends.

nothing happening finance wise, mortgage balance at £137,550, maybe one more small overpayment before 2023 ends..
