Hi southcoast. We are currently on a spring water system, which is like/is  something from victorian times, and w e have to go on the moors to maintain the tank etc, and pipework to the house are impossible to find.. it really needs a modern system with proper filtration etc..

Daily interest was £10.81, this will go up now as we are on new 5 year fix at slightly higher rate. I really want to have the mortgage cleared by the end, but lets see..

Weather awful here atm, constant rain meaning everywhere muddy, roll on spring!
Ive done a meal plan and shopped and planned meals which should cover the next 2/3 weeks.. grocery shopping is a big area to save for us, and im determined to save as much as possible this year for overpayments and savings to cover water project.
There was a few yellow sticker items which went for meals in the freezer, so i intend to continue shopping midweek as its not so busy, and maybe more bargains!

the weather is slightly better at the moment, and signs of spring are appearing, yey!!
 March is looking ok budget wise, im determined to stick to meal planning, and budgeting to get the water supply fund building, and hopefully mortgage overpayments too. My little cafe opens 6 days a week again starting easter week, so an increase in wages for me thankfully which will certainly be helpful to our plans..

Well first day of spring, and its snowing!! so my little cafe in the wilds is closed, dont think many will be venturing this far out in this weather!!
The weekend is still looking slightly less snow than today, more sleet, i will make decision later based on forecast if im opening tomorrow, though im really hoping i can, need to get that money coming in..
My target for March is £1200 to water fund,£800 to overpayments, mmm lets see..

Im also planning an alcohol free month starting today ,money saving and for health benefits. As i get older the pleasure of a drink is not worth the headache/tiredness/ lethargy (even though i can only drink one or two), so lets see how i feel end of March..

the weather is lovely today at last! had a really busy day in my little cafe yesterday after being rained and snowed off Friday and Saturday.

Had a £150 p.bond win which is a good start to March, and we should be able to save a decent lump this week as id paid my wages in advance to the end of March, and used them to pay bills etc in front, so hubbys wage can mainly go to savings and overpayments for next week or two.

its chucking down with rain again, after a dry weekend, typical bank holiday weather!
my little cafe is on summer hours now the clocks have changed, so im hoping this rain goes away soon, got to have been the wettest autumn, winter and spring ive known!

£175 p.bond win this month, not life changing but much appreciated!!
Ive had a successful first week on summer hours in my little cafe, despite showers and winds.. this week yesterday and today closed due to the heavy rain , but the rest of the week looking good, so hoefully i can make up for the lost days..

This week seems to be about worrying about our parents decreasing health, my dad in particular due to his increased frailty, it seems to be a common worry, yet somehow no one talks about it much until you delve a bit and find out the day to day problems lots are dealing with..

The weather continues to be rubbish, freezing cold temperatures this week mean ive had a very quiet week in my cafe..
Ive used my emergency fund to top up p.bonds to the  £50k maximum, so next few weeks need to work on rebuilding that, im hoping for lots of wins!! that will now be our 12 month emergency fund in case of ill health/job loss etc.

May hopefully will be a lot nicer weather wise, si im going to be working 6 days a week to make as much as possible..
Need to dash, horse escaped!
