  • Hi. Could you put me down for £500 this month. I've been reading through lots of ideas and have a plan in place. The money is just for food, toiletries and basically anything I need to buy to keep the house ticking over. I'm hoping to have some left to take the kids out for dinner at the end of the month but we will see. Thanks x
    No buying toiletries in 2013:cool:

I am back this month and I wish to spend 200£ for 5 weeks and no more really! So that's 40£ per week.. All really tight here, life! I just look now back when we used to spend silly money on silly silly things ( coffees , fancy food etc) and my heart hurts! I wish I could have now all that money in out bank etc. so lesson learned. I start on Monday the 30 th.. :)

So please can you put me down with 200 for October :) thanks

  • Did my shopping on Tuesday, and as planned, stuck to list almost religously. Ended up spending £43 which included the babies formula milk as well, so pretty good really. I need to get more milk later in the week, but other than that, think we are ok until next week. :) Just need to keep this up for the rest of the month now.

Well I won't be shopping on line with Mr T to get the pizza express voucher as I have checked the small print and it's a minimum £60 spend which is too much for my weekly top ups after my big shop last weekend.

I wil be doing next week's top up today as I have to got to Mr T to pick up so clothes I have ordered. We only need fruit, a pepper, 2 leeks, potatoes, coffee, GF pasta, bread, eggs and a tin of value beans....oh and some drinks and snacks for DS first trip ever to the cinema tomorrow.:) I am hoping the snacks will keep him focussed for the hour and a half and stop him asking for a wee every 5 minutes:rotfl:

I was disappointed with the fruit I got at Aldee last week, the apples tasted old. I like a crisp apple.:( Will try a different variety I think next time I shop there.

I may get the paper today for the aldee voucher to use next week but will need to work out if I actually need to spend that much on a top up shop as I still have all but the chops of the meat I bought last week and am well stocked up.

Hello, been awol (again :rotfl:) but have noticed my spending increasing so I need to be back on here to try and keep on top of it. I have spent £450 in sept for 5 of us and this is too much. Sept was a 5 week month for us and so with that in mind, I am going to go for £400 for October and hopefully for once actually achieve my goal!

Payday is Monday so will start then........
