May GC 372/250 still looking for the plot
June GC 118/2500 -
Count me in please. This will be my first full month doing the challenge, 5 week month for me so budget altered accordingly now at £175 which works out £35 week (including toiletries)
Now its my first full month I will start to put info in my signature.
If anyone else is trying to save money in other areas, the start of your food month is a good time to remind yourself to take gas/electricity meter readings and keep track of these spends as well, that is what I plan to do.
Good luck for October everyone.0 -

I'm aiming for £300 this month.
It is a five week month for us and that is to feed 5 of us. 2 adults, 3 children.
I've been trying to get our freezer stocks down by doing a fiscal fast - loved it! Very liberating actually. I'm using an Ocado voucher to stock up on meat and some other bits, then will do remainder of the shops for fresh fruit & veg, ham etc. in Lidl. I'll be taking £220 out in cash so that is the budget I have to work with. No debit cards allowed for food this month. I think that is the only way I can do it and not splurge!
Let's see if I can do it 'eh!Good luck all!

Oooo, just noticed that Mr T's now do hourly slots rather than 2 hourly - now I feel like I'm (sort of) getting my money's worth!
If they can stick to it of course...Debt Free by 2015: £5839.01/£13000 1% challenge = 44.91%CAMRA Member: Drinking Ale doesn't make me any less of a woman :beer:0 -
Aiming for another NSD today, that will be 3 in a row:D Considering the amount of food I bought at the weekend it would be shocking if I thought I actually needed to buy anything!
The meal plan has gone a bit off track as we have had estimators and what not here most nights this week so have been cooking quicker meals than I had planned. The toffee apple crumble went down a treat though I didnt make as much toffee sauce as 225g of sugar seemed a huge amount between 5 portions.
I have been sent an email from Mr T offering £30 voucher for Pizza Expr3ss if I do an order online. I am a little tempted as we are cutting our budget tight over the next 2 months to pay to replace our double glazing, expensive dental treatment, our spring break and a flight that has to be paid for now for next year. This would give us a treat for the cost of the delivery. Plus this restaurant has a really good GF pizza and pasta selection and is one of my favourites. The thing is I don't really need anything for the next couple of weeks so will see how long it is valid for first.
I have a friend coming over on Saturday so will need to do some baking. I fancied doing some Rocky Roads again as my Mum absoloutley loved the ones I made her for her birthday but it would mean buying ingredients which I dont want to do so will have to think of something else instead. Will probably be a coffee sponge for my friend as it is her favourite and something chocolatey for her girls and my DS.
