My October starts tomorrow. Please put me down for £60 per week. A total of £240. I'm decreasing slowly so I hope £240 is reachable. I have plenty in though.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget
April week 1 - £42.78 | week 2 - £53.0524lbs in 12 weeks 15/240 -
£10 spend today on getting a spare key cut and 2nd class stamps (I have lots of 1st class stamps from the postal survey, but I don't like to waste them on non-urgent things, is that silly?
).
Had a yummy salami, cheddar and pesto baguette for lunch - made at home of course with: Sainsbobs Value salami (slightly more expensive per 100g than Ald!, but sliced much thinner, so I use less at a time and it lasts longer), Cathedral City cheddar from when it was on offer in Mr T's a couple of weeks back, Trattoria Verdi pesto (less than half the price of Sacla, even when it's on offer, and still very tasty), and Ald! bake at home baguettes. It sounds kinda ott for a sandwich but the new pills I'm on seem to have deadened my taste buds so everything tastes blander than usual. I also had a plum but swallowed the stone on my way to the bin -.-
But on the upside I met my lovely OH in town and we had a free cappuccino and hot chocolate from Nero's with the Time Out vouchers  (<-- imagine the tankards are coffee cups!)November GC: £50.55/£130. October GC: £72.60/£150

Only problem is I think I'm going to have to get my DH to portion it all up as I think I've sprained my ankle - am waiting for DH to get home to drive me to the hospital because it's too painful to stand on. Most of the shopping is still in the car because I didn't want to walk to and from the car loads of times to get it in so just brought in the meat, fish & a box of ice lollies.
Hope you're ok and it gets better soon.November GC: £50.55/£130. October GC: £72.60/£150

Hello!
I am late to the party this month, but have kept note since a big shop we did on Sunday. I have been trying £200, but I really do not think that's enough for us, so I would like to try £300 for October for two of us until Wednesday 29th October (the day before next pay day) and see how things go! We have already spent £106.15 this week ahhhhh!!! £8.36 was a few things to keep us going until big shop. £84.44 was a big Mr T Shop that included some stuff for a wee party we had on Monday. Then DH spent £8.86 on some pizzas etc for the party on Monday and then I spent a further £4.49 on Tuesday buying fancy peppers, mayo and a baguette for 2 lunches!
We never usually spend £84.44 on a big shop, but bought stuff for the party and lots of meat etc and the freezer and fridge are now well stocked with enough food for about 8 meals for us still! Next week's shop will be much smaller (hopefully!)Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):
My savings: £4878.54/£7000
Joint account savings: £2685.57/£3000
Total:£7564.11/£10 000 (as at 26/10/14)0 -

65p for a paper. Thinking about my post on here is really helping to stop me popping extras/offers in my basket. Hope I can keep it up over weekend. Will spend some time checking freezer & cupboards before big shop on Monday.
