Planning another NSD today and possibly tomorrow. Still have £15 left until Sunday. I can't wish for Sunday to come any sooner and at my age, wishing for days to come early is not a good thing but I'm desperate this week.:rotfl:'If you are not in the 'arena' also getting your a55 kicked then, I'm not interested in your feedback.' Thank you.0

Think of it this way, tomorrow is Thursday and the next day Friday. then its Saturday and only 1 day to Sunday, makes it seem sooner than says 4 days to go :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Slimming World at target0 -

no food spends yesterday
£3 for sons sports class last night, bummed £2 from mum last nigh to pay for it cause i cant find my bank card.
Was hoping for a nsd today to, but i may have to go into the bank and withdraw some money as we have very little fruit n veg in the house. hoping to put it off till tomorrow, as mum takes son after school til i get home from work, so at least he will have a 'proper' dinner, i'll make do with what we have in the freezer.Living Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

Popping in to report yesterdays spend of 24.35. Got some YS meat which should last for a few meals. Hoping to avoid the shop till next week.
Will update signature.
How does everyone store meat in the freezer? I used to just keep it in the original packaging but have started to separate it as one packet will do us two or more meals sometimes. I have just been wrapping it in foil.0 -

I started seperating it when i got good deals from Lid! portioned for individual portions.
A girl in my work told me she freezes bacon in individual portions as well as slice (square sausage) and tottie scones so she could make herself a fry up without wasting loads. i admit you will find 2 slices of bacon wrapped and frozen in my freezer lolLiving Simply, not simply living.Weight Loss - 5b/55lb

iammumtoone - I seperate meat (there's only two of us) e.g. for big packs of mince (say 700g or 1kg) I cut into blocks, wrap in cling film, then label the weight. E.g. a small block (say 125g) would do OH one burger, whereas 400g could make 4 portions of spag bol (which I'd likely then freeze two of). Each block goes into a (value) food bag to protect it.
Same goes for chicken - I buy whole ones and cut them up into thighs, drumsticks, breasts, wings and the body, and freeze each bit seperately (though both breasts together, both wings together, both thighs together), wrapped, labelled then bagged. Equally, I have pork loin steaks and turkey steaks in there, frozen in packs of two as well.
For bacon, I freeze in 4 rasher packs as that's what OH likes for bacon butties. Just put these in bags and don't label as it's pretty obvious what it is.
I know it might seem at bit OT double-bagging it, but it protects more against freezer burn and also stops the labels falling off.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

I know I'm a day late :S
I moved out of my parents house and into a flat with my bf just over a month ago, so having to budget (and worry!) a lot more about money, and thought this thread sounded like a great idea to keep on track and motivated
I'd like to try to spend under £250 on all food shopping, takeaways (rare) and meals out, plus drinks (people at work tend to go to the pub once a week), toiletries, cleaning stuff and other miscellaneous house stuff.
We tend to eat mainly veggie stuff (we love meat, but it's just so darned expensive), and I do a weekly shop in Ald!, topping up with stuff from Sainsbobs and Mr Ts. We're pretty good at sticking to a meal plan, using mainly The Resourceful Cook website, although it's getting a little monotonous now. I'd love to make more meals in advance and freeze them but we have a tiny freezer, and no space to put another
Good luck to everyone!November GC: £50.55/£130. October GC: £72.60/£150
