Hi all
First spend on Saturday for new month, my main shop of the month was £58.68 but then I realised that I had forgotten eggs and the chinese Big Night in we had ordered was a little on the disappointing side compared to the Indian and Pizza options so got a starter to go with, both of those came in at £3.30 so not too bad.
Then on Sunday had my OH neices Christening, to which I asked him about ten times what we were doing for dinner that evening (Christening was 1.5 hours away) and he said that we were all going out for a meal curtousy of his 'rents. Didn't get the chicken and bacon out that I was planning on doing and low and behold, plans changed and we didn't eat AND didn't get back til 8pm so ended up getting burger and chips at £9.80. Don't mind if it's planned for but annoying when you tried to prepare!
Managed to get the dogs food in on the main shop which is good as didn't think there was anything on offer and then it suddenly appeared which should now do him a few weeks too.
So total at the moment is spends £71.78 / £180.00 so going to be extremely tight this month.
Having said that, I bought 5kg onions from Mr T's and made some gorgeous cream of onion soup (with soya cream) which I've frozen and will do me for lunch all this week. I then made the lentil and butterbean casserole that had been featured on here (I think MissRikki? Thank you anyway whoever!) and it was GORGEOUS. So that will do me for dinner each night this week. I really like both of these meals so won't get bored and am varying what I have the casserole with.
Finally, made cherry pound cake for OH this week for lunches and am making his sausage rolls this week instead of buying.
Aiming to only spend £15.00 on mini shop this week as need to get some toiletries and a few fresh bits.Debt Free by 2015: £5839.01/£13000 1% challenge = 44.91%CAMRA Member: Drinking Ale doesn't make me any less of a woman :beer:0 -
Has the thanks button been removed?! Good afternoon everyone. I thought I was doing well and then bam we ran out of cereal so ended up at Mr T's for cereal, milk, fabric conditioner and a few other bits...£9.46 spent.
Takes me nearer to £40 spent so far...:eek:anyone know of a fabric conditioner that smells like L*nor?! I buy my washing powder from Aldeee but have not found a fabric conditioner I like.
OH was a bit upset about repetitive food, despite there being LOADS of food in. Grrr.

Those who use split peas, do you use yellow or green. When making soup, do they actually taste like peas?
