Have some pizzas in the oven for tea.0 -
Kazwookie nice that you have nieghbours who knocked. God I would be terrified knowing they were on my roof!!
Today I have cleaned the litter trays, husband is taking litter down on his way to work. Have also done a small hoover and made my list of 'frog' jobs that I want to do over the next few weeks, all ready for the start of next week now and my first time doing the 'Flylady' in many months. My home is fairly tidy now, as I am at home all the time, but hoping this will help me stay motivated. I have got Chinese leftovers for tea, so not really any washing up left to do today, also got a loaf of bread bakingThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. katy, I agree, but they only knew as they had sky dish fitted this week and the workman / fitter told them! I'm not brave enough to lift the hatch way to the loft, just in case they are in there!

Between us OH and I have run the vacuum around the house, been to Sainsbobs, invited six neighbours in for dinner, prepared dinner including cheese pudding for a vegetarian, laid the table, made a windfall pear and apple/blackberry crumble (with the addition of a mango lolly that has been knocking around the freezer for at least three years) and walked Mrs Dog four times. OH is actual cooking monitor tonight, but I want to try out the new-to-me hostess trolley and using up various oddities, like the Lovely Lodger's leftover genuine Sardinian nougat, so the fare will be fairly varied.
I have furtled various other bits and bobs into the meal.Better is good enough.0 -

We have a really old 1980s kitchen (rented flat) and the sink is plastic with one of those weird drainy tray things to put your sponges in; I took that off about an hour ago and looked into the drainer holes and they were full of mould
When we moved in here the plugholes were foul - and the wash hand basin in the bathroom had a pop up plug and no grid. It was MOST satisfying pouring neat bleach down and watching the mouldy scum slough off.
DS has been home this weekend as we were seeing Micky Flanagan. My mum picked him up (he's in Manchester, near Levenshulme so not far from Stockport at all and she was passing through Stockport on her way home) and I have dropped him back (with a suitcase full of clean, ironed laundry;) today. Have taken a washing up bowl (moneysaving as it was my old one) and washed all their pots and dried them and put them away...:p and wiped down the worktops, and wiped down the cupboard fronts. Took minutes to tidy and clean:D
All our washing is done and ironed;) The blackberry vodka looks and smells divine...I think it will make lovely christmas gifts, if I make some more.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Up to date on the washing that is in the kitchen.. I do have a mountain in the bathroom waiting to be brought down though. Last 2 loads just finishing.
Dot went to bed at 6 after falling asleep on OH and the other 3 girls just went up now. Pixie is being a pest and squawking if she is put down but just wants to feed if I pick her up then she vomits because she is overfull and if OH picks her up she has a screaming blue fit.
The pixie is going in the bath shortly as she smells of sick again.
I have a pile of washing to go away in my room and some Christmas bits to stash again.
DS1 seemed pleased with his present..I am now free from paying his phone bill!!!! Well, at 22 he is plenty old enough to sort it himself
I can't believe I have been a mum for 22 years, it seems like only yesterday he arrived... will I still be saying that in 40 years time?
