Had to go to my parents' home at 5am as her granny alarm went off for the 3rd time this week. Another false alarm thank goodness.

Bathroom cabinate purchased shop had 15% off day and it was half original price too. Also bought a metal bucket for burning and some more shelves for the bathroom. Had £30 on nect- card so didn't cost a lot.

OH is searching for longer screws as cabinet will go half on tiles and half on paint.

Well DD is due back any time from now so I'm going to take a break until she gets in. I was going to vacuum and mop, but I know DD was going to the park so I'm going to leave it until she's home and taken her shoes off just in case ;)

DD needs to do homework still, so while she does that I'll put some programmes that are suitable for her to watch but she's not keen on and attack the ironing pile.

    Personal:
    Shredding
    Writing x 9 pieces
    Toots list
    Scanning (old documents from pre-2006)
    Ironing
    Colour hair
WM: trainers, door curtains, towels, dark (sun), bedding (sun)
Nag DD to get all her homework done. ;):rotfl:

    Kitchen
    15 minutes....

    mop floor

    Tuesday - Living Room, Hall & Stairs:j:j

    Wednesday - Any bedroom
    15 minutes....

Clear a surface and dust it
    Got an hour....
Hoover any floor you can see
    Dust lampshades and bulbs

    Thursday - Bathrooms & Landing
    15 minutes....

Clean floor right into the corner

Friday - Little bit of everything
    Level one

    Hoover anywhere that needs it
    Level two
    Clean the kitchen sink
    Level three
Try to get outside for 15 minutes, sweep the path, clean the cat flap or just enjoy the start of autumn
    Extras
Make a list of just 5 things that you will achieve in October

Not doing too badly. A lot will be cleared later while DD is busy. ;)

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Maybe try chucking a cupful of bicarbonate of soda into the plug, then pouring a good slosh of white vinegar down? It will all froth up but might help some of it move along. Follow by boiling water from the kettle? Unless you know someone who has drain rods? Does DH have a really narrow screwdriver you can poke about with?

I dunno if that'll work because it's not the plughole, it's the bit by the taps/faucet/draining board if that makes sense? Like this:

But instead of being holes in the middle down, it's 8 little (about 2mm wide and half a cm high) slots down the edge nearest the basin. And it slopes into the holes - presumably for drainage. I don't think it's connected to the actual sink plug?

  • I've tidied & sorted the conservatory. It looks lovely now. It's a great playroom for Small Child.

Think I'll get the washing in now & iron that. How on earth some of you manage not to iron is beyond me. Suspect our hard water makes the creases set.

I still think it needs bleaching. Get so e bleach when you're next at the shops & shoot some down it.

If you look underneath the sink, does it have a pipe, I have a similar one and it has its own pipe that drains into the main sink drain, if so get this off, and clean it out.
