Kaz.. I always just rehang curtains straight from the washer.. they dry really quickly and don't need de-creasing as the weight pulls them straight.. :D

No curtain pole up ATM as DH has been busy. The paint will be dry enough in the morning to get the rail and curtains back up. They're very long curtains, hence hanging over the doors as the banisters are covered in filler.
Just ordered DS's comic heroes mural and duvet set so he'll be finished next weekend. Hopefully DH and I can finish the wood work on the landing this week and get DD's bedroom painted on Saturday. Then we might (fingers crossed) be able to get the 2 bedrooms and small wall on the stairs papered on the Sunday. Then to finish painting woodwork. :D.

  • Hi guys,
I've been AWOL this week, started with good intentions, then paid work and sickness got in the way. OH has picked up the chores while I've been out of action, but she's only done the basics and my fingers are twitching to deep clean.
Cheered myself up with a cake in a mug. Dangerously tasty and quick to make.

We had a Mr T delivery the other day, we don't get home deliverys very often, and I don't know why we keep doing them. They always make mistakes.
This time however it was in our favour. OH ordered 0.25kg salmon for £2.50, they delivered 1.5kg for £15!!! When OH rang to yell at them the refunded the difference and let us keep the salmon. I cut it into filets and we've got enough for about 6 meals!!

Found this the other day (can't remember where) and thought of the thread :)

    DUST IF YOU MUST

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
To paint a picture or write a letter,
Bake a cake or plant a seed,
Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
With rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
Music to hear and books to read,
Friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world's out there,
With the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,
This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
Old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go - and go you must -
You, yourself, will make more dust.

    Morning All

We are having a day at home today. Mum is bringing a roast so I'll do some spuds and veg. Other than that, a fairly quiet one for us. Have found a bit more ironing so will get that done before I get showered and get us all dressed.

DS needs to finish his homework - we've done one sheet plus half of the second, but he started losing interest so I said he could finish today with granny. It's only practicing writing, but its script or "real writing" as it used to be called when I was at school - all tails and wiggly lines... He is asking why the Xs are curly :D

And I still haven't cleared the cupboard under the sink, plus the bin needs emptying again.

    Away with the fairies
  • Hugs Skinty and DD. Hope all goes well.

    Morning all

Got up early and then went back to bed, feel groggy now.

Plan is to finish the downstairs flying list today and do some more bits in the front garden, trying to do an hour a day out there until it is done.

    Have a good day all.
